I’m just guessing but we have probably spent 400 bucks for Thanksgiving food. That seems high.

I am sick of your condescending bull shite. What does it matter if wages go up when the price doubles on goods. You retarded liberals are the cause of it all. Vehicle prices are unaffordable because of all the environmental regulations, groceries are outrageous because of 15 million illegals are buying theirs with government money. They wasted a trillion dollars of an infrastructure bill that did everything but rebuild infrastructure. Liberals cry on TV overtime there is a budget crisis because Republicans want cuts.

Thank God ya'lls day of reckoning is up on you.

Such a comfortable economy for the middle class and the Dems still managed to lose everything.

You idiot. Wages have inflated also. Are you under the impression that average salaries are what they were in 1965? In fact, during the 1970s, one of the main drivers of inflation was wages.

NYU Economist Scott Galloway basically said this is the first time in US history that a 30 year old is doing worse than their parents overall. Typically things progress. These young people can’t buy houses and their wages aren’t keeping up.

This is from CBS News. Almost double in 4 years!!!

Now, Americans must earn roughly $106,500 in order to comfortably afford a typical home, a significant increase from the $59,000 annual household income that put homeownership within reach for families in 2020, according to new research from digital real estate company Zillow.

Let's state it differently: In 1960, household spending on food was like 17-18% of the budget. Today, it's like 11%.

In 1960, household spending on cable, internet, cell phones, streaming services combined was 0% of the budget.

Taking it even further, here's per capita spending on food expressed in year 2000 dollars:

Why are you using 2000 dollars? Nothing should be compared to covid year prices. Can you do per capita in 2023 dollars?

I just bought the ingredients for creamed spinach and Mac and Cheese to bring to the Days of the Week, thanksgiving celebration.

No spam will be harmed in the preparation of these casseroles.

Total: $55.00

They don’t want you to believe they aren’t cooking the books like the unemployment and adjusted jobs numbers.

I feel like this has something to do with all the bullshite fake food we accept as real now. it's cheaper. it fills you up. the only downside is that it kills you. I think it also has to do with people not prioritizing food. like.. I can buy a new iPhone now if I cut back on the veggies!
