Translation: “everything else has gone to shite and you’re all struggling, and because of how bad this other stuff has gotten it’s outpaced how shitty this one thing is. You’re welcome, keep voting democrat.”

Let's state it differently: In 1960, household spending on food was like 17-18% of the budget. Today, it's like 11%.
You can pretend all you want, but food costs are a much smaller burden than they used to be.
This has nothing to do with Biden or any POTUS. It has to do with the inherent ingenuity of the American economy.
You misspelled corn subsidies.

This is true.
But so is this:

Americans are spending more than 11% of their disposable income on food, per federal data — the highest level in more than three decades, matching 1991, the Wall Street Journal reports. Groceries and restaurants are both getting more expensive.
So yes, if you want to compare today to 64 years ago, food spending is a smaller portion of income. But it’s also the highest it’s been in the past 30 years, which seems a little more relevant than some random reference to a specific year in which the majority of us were not even alive.

You idiot. Wages have inflated also.
Most people have not got raises that have paced inflation. At my company no one has got more than 3%/year since covid. Friends I have talked to are in the same boat. Changing jobs is a no go because in tech the job market is the worst it has ever been. No one who has a job is leaving right now.
