why did they say "finding joy" instead of simply "enjoying"?

They didn’t have enough money and time to do those things but now they do so good for them. Some will still find a way to bad mouth our country

Plus Tiger Woods broke the barrier, not by force, not by judicial fiat, but just by basic common sense.

It makes no economic or social sense to discriminate against the baddest arse golfer since Nicklaus.

Racism eventually destroys itself because its illogical
Charlie Sifford was the first black man to get a PGA tour card in 1961. Pete Brown won a PGA tour event in 1964. Lee Elder competed in the Masters in 1975. Calvin Peete won 12 tour events in his career until retiring in 1993. Tiger Woods was first black golfer to win a major, the 1997 Masters. What racial barrier exactly did Tiger Woods break? His accomplishments on the course had nothing to do with race and everything to do with excellence.

Nicknamed the “straightest driver in golf” because he consistently hit 95% of his fairways.

Wasn’t very long but very accurate.

Started his career at 23 years old and has a very “homegrown” swing.

Met him when I was a kid at the USF&G Classic. Still have his autograph.

He had a weird arm, either an injury or a double joint or something, that allowed him to have a perfectly repeatable swing.

Didn't realize the entire black race could only play golf at Caldwell Country Club. Thought for sure other clubs existed.

Because surely they are the only one and all others welcomed blacks with open arms.

Yes because the ocean was off limits to them due to racism.

Swimming is highly racist, tbh.

Scuba diving ?? Really?? When did they learn how to swim??

Also, there’s nothing worse than getting stuck behind a group of old black guys on the golf course. fricking slowest bastards ever and won’t let you pass.

I'm glad to see NBC New is finally acknowledging that not doing activities because you consider them "too white" is systemic racism.
