This was last year's slogan, when Nike did the uniforms. I imagine there will be some other nod to Navy tradition next year.

They put it on there because they thought they were playing MSST and Dillon Day.

Speaking of uniforms, I like the hell out of the gold helmets Army had. Would like to see how that shade of gold would look with LSU purple.

Even if there is nothing political about the slogan being part of the uniform, it does seem odd that it appears on it this year.

Isn't morale extremely low in the military these days? Our president is not exactly fond of the military although he likes to use them as pawns.

I had the game on today but was not really watching it, but I did see part of the sideline reporter talking about the uniform........and I couldn't help but think about the Tea Party.

I don't think there was a political statement being made..............but I wish it was.

Yeah I think the Navy used a flag with that phrase on it about 230 years or so before the tea bag party showed up.

Why? People keep saying this. Why is it odd?

Navy got a new company to make their uniforms and they went with this as their first one.

Actually, the Gadsden Flag is considered a sign of antigoverment extremism by the Department of Homeland Security.

This is true.

These guys would really be in a tizzy if they realized the Gadsden Flag is on the bow of every commissioned naval ship during wartime; and continuously since 2001
