Zach, I'm starting to worry about you brother. You seem to be posting about two to three nonsensical threadstarters per weekend lately. You feeling OK buddy?

Feeling great except that golf season is in downshift. Instead of twice a week I'm down to twice a month till March. But thanks for asking.

Everybody knows what that Insignia means...and it has been around for as long as the Constitution and the Individual Freedom principle which it represents. It's the essence of the anti-government, authoritarian boot on the neck philosophy.

The real issue is, that in today's politics...there is ONE SIDE of the political divide which is virtually contrary to the Constitution and what that insignia represents. And we all know which one. And the Armed Forces are going to try and remain true to the Chain of Command structure, which has served us well...and wait until the day that the *Morsi* wing of the political dynamic...goes away.

Of course, those folk are our best...and don't think for one minute that all those fine young men and women have not considered the above conundrum. They'll step up for Freedom and pull the 'Morsi scenario', if need be.

And I'm old too Zach. Don't let those folk who disrespect aged people, get to ya'; we know where that attitude will end up. Everybody is a badass when young...time will separate the real warriors, when the grand expectations of youth fade and the routine/mundane is dropped in their lap. Along with Obama's 'boot on their neck'.

And America elected Barack Obama - a bold-faced liar - a second time. So...your point is, re votes....?

BTW, I think Z sliced this one into the pond; it happens. But this IS the Poliboard. No slack here. As well it should not be. Gotta maintain our high standards.

I'm not gonna stop until I get an answer to the question. Why 110 years? Why now? If this Ali girl explained it I'll be happen to listen to the explanation. But I haven't heard what she said.

And why did she have to explain it?

She addressed the 200+ year history and everything in between--save contemporary politics.

BS...what did she say?
Did she apologize for the phrase? Did she say "This has nothing to do with politics." Try telling the truth, Navy. There is NO reason for her to say anything unless it was an issue. The message is tiny on the helmets. Some people are complaining. The network is reacting.

Why 110 years?
I don't know.

I have a question though, if it is truly political, why now?

Why not when the "Tea Party" was an actual force to be reckoned with?

You are looking for something where it doesn't exist.

Just think about this, you are viewing this the same way as the crazy, uninformed progressives who are probably outraged about this.

Because the military hates Obama.

They still are.

Perhaps. But I like to be on the front of critical thought instead of repeating something else that someone else said. This is the weekend. The press doesn't work.
I'm predicting that this will be a press issue by Monday. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
But there is absolutely no doubt that the phrase is Tea Party and politically incorrect. Since Naval academy students tend to be smart they probably realize that. Maybe not.
