What happens when someone with natural immunity is exposed to the virus and fights it off. Is it a "natural booster" in effect?

Why are you so heavily invested in vaccines? It's really a strange take for someone that doesn't benefit financially.

Antibody, antibody, antibody!
Don't mean jack to those with B and T-cells. Antibodies always wane post infection, it says nothing about reinfection and for one to "infer" anything different, is a misunderstanding of immunology.
Who are you sir to challenge a self professed internet certified MD?
As a French model I find your behavior reprehensible.

It’s definitely not anywhere near as good as the hybrid immunity of infection and vaccination.
It's so weird that the drive for all of this is for every human, regardless of age, HAS to get the "vaccine."
Didn't have COVID? Get it.
Under 12 years old? Get it.
In the womb? Get it.
Had COVID? Get it. It's even better!
Had the vaccine and COVID? Get it again.
Had 2 vaccines? Get a third one.
Are a water bear? Get it. Even though you can survive in space.

St. Louis Zoo vaccinated all their big cats.
A bunch of them just tested positive for Covid.

quote:. Good grief. They have a range of 3 months to over 5 years. Let’s not pretend this is some super specific algorithm that can predict antibody levels to the millisecond. It is a projection, and like with other computer models, there a wide range of factors that weren’t included because no one can predict all the variables.
2. They use models and algorithms and other stuff that is too technical for you ppl to measure the antibody levels and project their decline.

63 months blows away any shot
Very few people will have immunity for 63 months. That is why the median is 16 months. It has been over 16 months from the first covid surge, roughly 16 months from the second COVID surge, 12 months from the third surge, and 3 months from the 4th covid surge. With the exception of the majority of the cases in the 4th surge, those with natural immunity antibody levels are declining and a lot will be below the neutralization level. Which is why I suggested that those who are relying on natural immunity get their titers checked regularly. That recommendation also applies to those who got the vaccine but are choosing not to get the booster.

Thanks for the advice, but I’m good.

In theory, yes. That also applies to people who have been vaccinated. Every time your body is exposed it makes an immune response which increases your antibody levels and your memory cells. However, it’s impossible to measure times you are exposed and your body fights it off without you having symptoms unless you are tested every day. So I can not give a definitive answer.

But what are the chances that I get the virus, don't suffer much with it, but somewhere down the line get it again and it knocks the shite out of me? That doesn't seem plausible unless my health has changed dramatically (fighting cancer, for example).

We should be seeing as many reinfection as infections if this is the case.

Actually my clinic was losing money on the vaccines. The freezers were expensive AF to operate and the vaccine are very costly and they expire real fast. Which is why we stopped giving them once Walgreens and CVS and WalMart started giving them. I actually make more $$$ from sick patients in the hospital than I do from keeping my patients healthy and out of the hospital. If I was posting because of a financial motivation I would be posting against vaccines.

Can I stay with my masters degree in biomedical science or do I have to take that degree with me when I leave?

Friend of the family got the shot three months ago. Got COVID late last week and is still sick. Yeah, I'll take my natural immunity, thanks.

Sounds like the global warming alarmist. You could have just said, "cause they said so."

Ah, models. Well then, the data must be accurate. A scientist would never create an inaccurate model, especially one that claimed we would see 2 million covid deaths in the US.
Let's see... Africa with 6% vax rate and lower case rate than Western countries or a model that says I have an extremely slim chance of getting slightly better protection with a questionable vaccine than natural immunity.
Tough choice, but I think I'm going to stick with natural immunity over a shitty vaccine for a virus with a 99.9% survival rate.
