I'd like to compile a list of all the posters here who somehow think they are separate and apart from "the board".
At times I suspect it would eclipse the number who don't.

Well, I consider myself part of "the board." I've just never viewed it as some sort of monolithic entity, though.
It is a good lame deflection tool to let me know who I need to take seriously or not. Those who constantly rail on "the board" (while compiling thousands of posts here, mind you) are easy to keep far down the list of who I need to take seriously.

I hate all of those kinds of terms because they tend to detract from arguments to the point of gutting them.
Hell, even when I read something I agree with from a person who included "Dimocrats" or "Moochelle", it tends to make me just jump to the next post.
It's completely non-persuasive.

It isn't. I have been researching this and from what it appears, the crime portion is found if someone can prove that he used money to pay her off because it would influence the campaign if she yapped about the affair. At that point, even if personal money is used to influence his public perception, thus influencing the campaign, it must be reported to the Federal Election Committee or wherever it has to be reported. It appears it may not have been reported nd in fact actively covered up by forming a shell company and having Cohen make the payment. Then Cohen was reimbursed in campaign funds directly as "legal fees". On the surface that would pass a sniff test but if things dig deeper you can find some criminal wrongdoing.
This would not compare to Obama's violations because those were only because his campaign did not report the money soon enough, only making it a civil matter and subject to fine, not prosecution.
