What happens when no candidate receives 270 EV votes
quote:
What happens if no presidential candidate gets 270 electoral votes? If no candidate receives a majority of electoral votes, the Presidential election leaves the Electoral College process and moves to Congress. The House of Representatives elects the President from the three (3) Presidential candidates who received the most electoral votes. Each State delegation has one vote and it is up to the individual States to determine how to vote. (Since the District of Columbia is not a State, it has no State delegation in the House and cannot vote). A candidate must receive at least 26 votes (a majority of the States) to be elected. The Senate elects the Vice President from the two (2) Vice Presidential candidates with the most electoral votes. Each Senator casts one vote for Vice President. (Since the District of Columbia is not a State, it has no Senators so does not participate in the vote). A candidate must receive at least 51 votes (a majority of Senators) to be elected. If the House of Representatives fails to elect a President by Inauguration Day, the Vice-President Elect serves as acting President until the deadlock is resolved in the House.

Dems won’t win without PA given the AZ, GA, NV polling.
They won't win without MI & WI either. If they lose one of MI or WI, but gain the other and PA, then I believe they'd need to pull one of GA, AZ or NC.

If that electoral map ends up like that, then it will be the beginning of the end.

It seems to me right now Trump has a much easier path to victory.
AZ, NV and GA seem pretty locked up to me.
He just has to take one of MN, MI, WI, PA, VA, while Kamala has to sweep them (and make sure she gets that 1 NE vote, and not lose any states she should win).
Trump should be living in Wisconsin basically.

Nate is no longer 538. He sold it and has come out stating their models are flawed that they use now.
Nate is now silver bulletin.

The fun question there, is what happens if there is a 50-50 tie in the Senate on the Vice President. A 50/50 Senate is very possible after this election.
Kamala could very well be casting the deciding VP vote and putting her own VP nominee in office at the same time that the House elects Trump.
Chaos indeed.

Nate Silver is NOT related to 538, and 538 does not use his model. He has his own platform now - The SIlver Bulliten that has his model.

We need to consider doing away with the electoral vote.

Trump really needs to send some people to NE-2. That one district could absolutely decide this election. AZ, NV, GA look pretty close to locked down and NE2 would win it

I truly do not understand how she could get half the countries vote. You find find yourself ever cheering for the same person as hollywood and MSM, you probably are wrong.

The PA governor was on yesterday talking about how Trump is a threat and how there are already have received 2 million mail in ballots. I guess the D has to be named later on those ballots.

But, there are many people on here who love Trump, Kari Lake, and others who make winning harder than it could be.

This is Harris without any kind of negative ad blitz or criticism whatsoever. And this doesn't even take into account Trump's sizable overperformance when it comes to polling predictions. He's in better shape than he's ever been since 2015.
