Back in high school (65 +/- years ago), I remember something about an epic poem, "The seven ages of man". The ages ran from a baby soiling diapers, to senility soiling diapers. Nancy seems to be at age 6 1/2.

From the introduction to ripping up the speech, she acted like a petulant 4 year old that needs their arse beat.
Then she tweets a picture of the “handshake”, saying we will always seek common ground. FFS, does she really believe her disingenuous gestures? You can’t call someone illegitimate, should be removed from office and at the same time state you pray for them and want to work with and give historic wins to them by finding common ground.

But in all fairness, Trump hasn't been the adult in the room many times either. A quick glance over his Twitter feed will show you what I mean.
I had thought that Obama was the most divisive political figure in my lifetime. I think he will be overshadowed by Pelosi/Trump in terms of political polarization.

You are trying to have a civilized conversation with people who, just yesterday, were hoping a radio show host died a slow, painful death simply because they disagree with him politically.

It was deliberate and for optics. If she just wanted to tear up the speech because she disagreed with it or thought it was disgusting, she would have tore all the pages at once. But, it took her 4-5 tears to get through the entire speech because she wanted to make sure the cameras caught it. It's also why she had to keep moving the torn pieces around to ensure a camera angle somewhere caught it.
