Does that sound more reasonable to you?

Testicular cancer is "less of a problem" than aids, but you still seek treatment. Date rape is "less of a problem" than gang rape, but you still call the police.

Another dumb argument brought to you by Powerlib

It doesn't matter. Your premise is flawed from the OP.
You are not saying 300K = 'less problem'. You are saying 300K = 'not a problem worthy of a solution.'

Look at the title of your thread. You indict the attempt at a solution of any kind. You call the problem 'imaginary'.

When your premise is that flawed you are going to get 100s of challenges. And you can't respond to all of them so you get challenged on sluffs (ignoring arguments).

You could have avoided all of this by using a better premise when presenting your numbers. Like a thread:

'Since the illegal alien numbers have been going down, maybe a wall is not so urgently needed.'

So. To summarize.

P'man admits

1. Current number still a problem.
2. He has no idea if trend is permanent
3. Only ideas he has on cause are non-permanent

Is that about right?

Imaginary!

The 50,308 apprehended/inadmissibles in March is a 37 percent increase from the 36,695 counted in February, but a whopping 203 percent increase from March 2017's 16,588.
CBP said the number of family units increased by 49 percent from February to March, and the number of unaccompanied children increased by 41 percent compared to February.
"The traffickers and smugglers know that, if you arrive with a family, under our current legal and court system, you have a much better chance of being released into the United States," Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen told the White House press briefing on Wednesday. "We have seen the smugglers advertise this as an enticement. And we have seen traffickers, unfortunately, fraudulently use children to gain entry into our country." In a conference call with reporters on Wednesday, a senior administration official, speaking on background, noted that in April 2017, the number of apprehended/inadmissibles dropped to a historic low of 15,766.

Democrats would be singing a different tune if all the illegals were white Christian males that vote republican coming into the country....

Anyone with any ability to read through the lines would have inferred that's what I was getting at. Hell, even you figured it out.

At this point, I'm not even sure what P'man wants to go on about.

He's admitted it's a problem.

He's admitted the trend isn't certain and could turn around.

The only thing he's got now is, "meh, the problem isn't big enough" which may well deserve discussion but has basically nothing to do with his OP.

Holy hell. Here you go again.

Big government should be about border security. That's one of the few jobs it should perform.

According to PowerLib, 1.5 million or so new rock-ribbed conservatives being imported into your country every election cycle is "not a big deal".

So, not an imaginary problem......thanks

Only if you assume no one knows it's lower now.

Agreed.

Sure would have been nice if you'd engaged the people who wanted to have that discussion over the course of the last 20 pages.

You are wrong.

We have well over 300k illegal immigrates crossing our border ever year

Hell we average over 10k arrests each month

We turn away around 1000 a day at check points

Not so much

I know other people think it's a problem

I don't actually think it's a problem

But from the point of view from someone who thinks it's a problem it's certainly much less of a problem now than it was previously

The sum total of the Democrat position on immigration is this. 100%
