He sure is terrible at being a racist. All that economic progress, opportunity zones, HBC funding and prison/sentencing reform. All the times he speaks glowingly of black heroes in our history, and derides those who make life more dangerous for inner city citizens.

One of my best friends, NYC born and raised, Columbia grad, volunteered on the Obama and Clinton campaigns is now a massive Trump supporter. He loves Trump more than I do and he gave me shite back in 2017 for becoming a a Trump supporter. He absolutely hates the left now and is pissed that he let himself be “one of them” for such a long time.
What got him was seeing his refund after Trump’s tax plan, money talks.
This also applies to almost all mine and my wife’s friends too, he was just the biggest shock. All big time Hillary supporters in 2016 but now on the Trump train. Nobody shows it though because we all have careers that would be ruined the second we publicly said we support Trump.
Whether y’all believe it or not, there are a lot more Trump supporters in NYC then you think.

Those downvoting are his base for the most part. He isn't going to lose his base by toning down a bit, but they can't see that.

My wife went to a hen party a couple of Saturdays ago. Out of the five ladies there, three years ago two of them were staunch liberals. They got to discussing what's going on in this country. By the end of the discussion all five agreed on one thing - they're voting for Trump in Nov.
