I haven't had to deprogram my youngest daughter yet.
She just finished her junior year and is heavily conservative independent like myself.
It will be her college of choice that will attempt to sway her to the dark side... but thus far she's only interested in smaller, conservative institutions and will be entering the forensic/psychological criminal justice field. If they sway her, I'll be there to remind her of the truth.

This thread reminds me of the following
A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words, redistribution of wealth.
She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.
One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.
Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.
Her father listened and then asked, 'How is your friend Audrey doing?' She replied, 'Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over.'
Her wise father asked his daughter, 'Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA.'
The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, 'That's a crazy idea, how would that be fair! I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!'
The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, 'Welcome to the conservative's philosophy.'

My son just finished college, and my daughter is in her second year. My kids were raised right and no amount of college is going to brainwash them. In fact, it's made them even more conservative.

Have you never interacted with regular black people before? It's literally an everyday occurrence.
You might want to tell your democrat Marxist overlords then.

my wife was on the path in about 2015 or so. she got really close with a group of women from church (who i love) that were really involved in the black community in our town. i 100% support their efforts. one in particular knows that the breakdown of th family is the issue so she bought a house in that area, and has regular events and tries to bring in strong christian black men to mentor them and see what a good role model is. We've helped with it some (albeit not enough) and I think above any social program, this is a worthwhile effort. HOWEVER, right around 2015-2016, Ferguson happened and Trump came to power. she started going to a few events with them and then i could really start to see some radicalization and CRT language popping up around their group of your typical suburban liberal white women. i wasn't a Trump voter, but i did see through the lies and purposeful division going on. we had some arguments, specifically around the Charlotesville comments. According to her, Trump called the KKK very fine people and it wasn't till a few days after the fact when i showed her the transcript, that she realized the news lied to her and her friends were going off on social media about false information. she tried to correct them and was met with a pretty visceral reaction. then she noticed in their text thread that they were saying really hateful things about Trump supporters. She noticed that most of their conversations had gone from just helping achieve just and working towards better outcomes to outright hating Trump and calling people racist. She still has a screenshot of one of them threatening to run a car through or blow up a stand selling Trump gear and another one threatening to poison a kid posting MAGA stuff (albeit, i'm sure he was being an a-hole.) These were women in leadership at our church and would be mortified if those texts ever made the light of day. All this is to say, it's not like i wanted my wife to turn around and be a Trump voter or republican. I only voted for him once out of 4 opportunities personally. But my hope is for people's eyes to be opened to the fact the media lies to us and wants us to be divided and hate each other. Glad your daughter is having her eyes opened
That’s a perfect microcosm of our country when trump got elected, and it was all propaganda

I think it’s actually easier now to not be programmed because of how ludicrous and controlling these types are. It’s a major turn off. Back in the day they slowly crept into your mind and bent your thinking over the long term bit by bit without completely outrageous stuff

Why is this shocking? Black guys (LE types lean to the right) can't be decent guys?

The problem with where this county is heading (one at least) is there is no nuanced or rational thinking. There are good cops and there are bad cops. I would say a majority are good.
Guess what, there are good and bad doctors, good and bad lawyers etc. etc. Pick a profession.
People are so black and white in their views (pun intended) that it is abolish the police or nothing else.
That is patently fricking stupid and nonsensical. Instead of focusing on discrete reforms, let's go nuclear and blow shite up. So dumb

I would like for you to define "regular black people",
Probably just the ones that aren’t using the other ones for personal gain. Which of course is the vast majority. If the black community could ever cut off these cancers they would be a lot better for it. In fact, this mentality of “protecting their own” is what separates them from whites and many other cultures. Yes, it makes them a very strong group, but being willing to cut bait with shitty people is a huge determinant in making individuals and teams successful.
This notion is of course fought by the left, as they encourage the black community to stick together as an oppressed community.
The sick thing is it all comes down to votes. And it really isn’t that hard to see.

Thankfully, they are in a nice private school with good conservative teachers and with kids whose parents are also conservative.
Mine too, but I worry that eventually they're gonna have to step out into the real world. I love my kids' school, but not very many people attend a small Christian private school. One day, they're gonna have to face reality.

That step is much harder these days because the girl gets a degree in Gender Studies and has no job plus $50,000 of student loan debt.

All kids should have a retail/service job before entering college/skill training. It is great motivation and really eye opening for some.
