Are you suggesting that a simple version of the car engine is somehow worse than today’s highly sensitive car engine that takes a 150 per hour mechanic to change most parts on ?
That said did you not understand the sarcasm of in genetics of ugly people? The weatherman reference? Or how socialism would be better this time?

I certainly am. The cars I started driving, 60s and 70s models made me an expert at replacing nearly everything in a few short years.

You’re not going to be given the option. Once humans aren’t needed, they’re just going to kill most of the unnecessary humans off. The third worlders are being imported in order to justify increasing government control enough that the government will be able to do what it wants. Whether it’s war, pandemic, eugenics, or straight up genocide, the elites want the global population under 100 million humans. Once they can have all of the luxuries of an advanced economy without the need for billions of impoverished slaves and wage cuck laborers, they’ll just get rid of us.

Our economy is a house of cards. You think it can sustain millions of people not being able to pay their mortgage? Who would be paying for HVAC or plumbing services?

Kinda made my point for me thanks. It allowed you to work on them when necessary while not needing expertise or special diagnostic equipment whereas basically nothing other than the simplest thing can be accomplished without them

Except the fact that modern engines don’t need valves and rings every 40k.Thanks for admitting you don’t know squat about cars

I was not being sarcastic I thought your post was actually quite good and I complimented you on it I hope you didn't take it the wrong way

How is our economy a house of cards? It's the strongest economy in the world and extremely diverse. Americans are generally innovative and hard working. Ultra wealth is definitely getting hoarded at the top, but there is plnty to go around for people with even generous expectation. Even the poor people here have air conditioning, internet access, cell phone, and disposable cash for junk food and hair products. What more do they need?

Obviously the wealthy lol.
By the time we get there their wealth would’ve gone up substantially so even though earning potential for future generations may be hurt by AI the fact that they won the race and have so much capital built up you just chill.
The key here is to get in now.
My concern is how anyone can rise from the bottom once we get there. In the past you have success stories, not sure how you can do this except through limited avenues now.

Human beings are flawed and will always frick things up when given the chance.

The other stratification in play is how AI can be leveraged by the intelligent to increase productivity/output and, theoretically, make them more money. Intellectual limitations will prevent the lower IQ populations from this avenue, so this new economic world order that the tech bros are predicting will only be available to a small population.
Massive advantage here.
The whole post is great info.

Let’s see I had a 66 Chevy Impala in 75 that power train wise had zero issues, was owned prior by a woman driver, a 66 F100 that had a 3 speed that I had change a transmission at 17 without prior experience that my father said the only way to learn was to do it. Other than fighting lining up in setting in ( that was a bitch because I never knew about a pilot tool to line up) only had alternator and power steering issues.
After that period I generally bought new every few years. Had plenty of friends that did have crank / rings & piston type stuff but since they were generally racing or spinning around intersections stressing the motor but they learned quickly on repair, pulling out or in chassis depending on block issue. But point being the simplicity compared with today’s cars. But hey you have a opinion too

Simplicity is great when it doesn't leave you broke down on the side of the road like early cars did. I know I specified engines but all those peripheral components that leave a car nonfunctional were garbage compared to modern cars. The point being that engineering improved cars over time, the same process is playing out with AI.

Our government has injected trillions into the economy to avoid further collapse after 2008 and then again in 2020. We are living on cheap printed money to keep things moving. Eventually that’ll come due.

AI along with Automation and Advanced Robotics is going to allow Fortune 500 companies to trim at minimum 33% of their workforce once fully implemented and even more after it reaches fine tuning. You are going to have massive losses in Financial/Banking sector, Healthcare sector, IT sector, Legal sector, Accounting sector etc.
The truly rich will just get richer. The middle class will suffer the worst, and the bottom 20% will be taken care of just as they are now with our current welfare/entitlement state. A lot of people are going to be out of work and have no job prospects.
