I’m not a Cassidy fan. But voting democrat isn’t an option. They are literally anti US. I view them as an invading army dead set on our destruction. They want to put policy in place that destroys our fabric. We aren’t perfect, but we are better than anything else out there.

Letlow does a good job appearing to represent her constituents, Cassidy is a ghost.

A lot of people are going to disappointed with letlow if she’s elected. I get the anti Cassidy movement as I’m one of them but she could easily be worse for the conservative movement.

Possibly but...

quote:

From 2021-22, Letlow’s first term in the 5th District seat, she supported the Heritage Foundation’s legislative agenda 87% of the time, just behind the House Republican average score of 89%.

Letlow’s “lifetime score” from the Heritage Foundation is 75%, compared with 62% for Cassidy. Cassidy received a 46% rating for his 2023-24 voting record and 72% for the first two years of the Biden administration.

I assume you meant Cassidy.

I'll be voting for Fleming.

I don't care if they find she murdered someone, I'm voting for her! Cassidy is a RINO and we can't continue to send this clown to Washington.
He'll find employment at CNN, I'm sure.

I heard Cassidy cancelled his scheduled meeting with Louisiana Republican Women. He figured they would be hostile.

But I see he is speaking at Chamber of Commerce gatherings.

And the response thereafter is for a guy who voted to impeach Trump to smear his opposition as "anti-Trump".

That's pretty rich.

Who is Fleming? (not in op)

Fleming also worked in the Trump Administration so it's odd that Trump doesn't support him

So does Cassidy feel Fleming is not a threat or something? I would have thought that would be his target.

Probably because he can’t trust him.

I think it has more to do with that President Trump trusts Gov Landry, at least enough to make him envoy or whatever for Greenland, and Letlow is Landry’s choice. The Governor had been lobbying Trump to endorse her for a while now. Fleming campaign has made carbon sequestration in Louisiana a HUGE sticking point in his camping, and they’ve attacked Landry several times on it.

So I’m sure the Governor begged the President to not give Fleming’s campaign any momentum.

Maybe.

Or, Fleming is an old, nut job that doesn’t know where he is half the time.

The only question of interest to me is, 'Did she vote to impeach Trump?'

No other question is important when she is running against Cassidy.

I don't think (probably missing one) we have had a single great law making politician in Louisiana my entire life. We can't even get a decent man to run.

Cassidy only has himself to blame. He voted to impeach, which is unforgivable. Screw him.
