Well then take your arse back to the private sector you dumb bitch. Being an elected official should be considered volunteer work. If you love your country, you serve it like people in the military do.

She needs to consult with AOC's financial advisor. AOC has done very well after she was elected and couldn't pay rent or buy any clothes.

No. You don’t HAVE to.

If they have to beg for money and go campaigning then they haven't done enough for their constituents.

We really would be better off picking randos off the voter registration rolls like jury duty.
Put em up for 3 months and send em home. No retirement, no perks.
If the states were interested in reclaiming their constitutional power it would be easy to streamline and decentralize the federal government.

From lobbyists and special interests and insider trading, etc.

I have no issue with them having some payment from their constituents through the US Treasury.

i find her issues with no longer seeing family and friends and normal relationship with them as being some thing she didnt reckon on.

I'll accept they don't get to go home to their constituents enough, because that should be at least half of their job. And the election every 2 years would be a drain in today's climate.

But you should be fine with $190k a year + perks

Ehh, I’ve felt the same about politicians in general. Which is why I’m independent.

Some people may have an idea and good intentions to start their political career, but they all end up playing the game.

She is making more money than she has probably made in her life. It is no ones fault the stupid nitwit didn't account for the cost of living in DC.

They even all got pay raises so some stop sleeping in their offices. We pay her car lease, she has a doctor on call, the best health care, a nice gym.

Let her quit. She won't get a job offer from Fox News.

The real money is made in bribes, kickbacks, and insider trading. She's not doing it right.
