the fact that Mississippi is even somewhat competitive is pretty astounding... that's as easy a layup in ANY election as there is for Republicans

Of note, Colom still has less than Kamala had...Smith has almost 300,000 fewer votes. Two years...300,000.
Yep, Rs didn’t vote today.

Kind of hard to win MS when you lose the Delta, every college town/county, Madison County, and DeSoto.

If you judge their candidates, it is not hard to believe.

The polls were actually wrong.. and overestimated GOP voters today.

Democrats could get to 56 seats in Senate if this MS result holds.

Same thing in Louisiana…

2024: Trump - 1.2M | Harris 766k

2026: Letlow - 746k | Davis 720k

This will not get called. It will go to a recount. I am going to bed.

All I do know is that if there wasn't a third party black guy stealing 2% of the vote, Colom would have won the majority vote in MS. LA only did 1% different than this. Candidates matter, and these fricktards Trump found are losers.

Seems like the remaining ballots are from more red counties. I think smith eeks it out too.

Pinkins might end up keeping the Dems from a 60 vote senate in 2028

It’s perfectly believable. This board just spent the past year burying its head in the sand and insulting former Trump supporters for pointing out all the frickups of this admin.

Estimated 33,000 votes left to count. Absentees, military, etc.

I’ve been sounding the alarm for months but this board says you’re a “panican”. Meanwhile we keep losing races that should be walkovers.

Where are you getting that stat from? Hinds county has the most outstanding ballots left and they are the largest county in MS.

This woman is losing DeSoto, Madison, and Lafayette - all were over 20+% GOP in 2024. She has flipped 20% of the state to the other side.

no idea, but 28 votes ain't hard to overcome in deep red Mississippi...

but the fact that we are even in the situation that it's midnight and we are still counting votes to decide a Senate race in fricking Mississippi is WILD

I think Smith will win because of Jackson County. Still a decent number of votes outstanding there and more than enough to offset what is left of Clay County.
