Ive seen dumbasses vote themselves into an additional 5% property tax over a 10 cent per gallon gas tax.

This may be shocking but most people are dumb as frick.

Tricky question though, how many know the deal, approve the deal, or just simply approve anything that constitutes a step away from the massively unpopular war.

Pretty much tracks with my view.

I get why so many people are frustrated or skeptical about this Iran MOU. On paper, it looks like a massive compromise: $300 billion in unfrozen assets, a fixed schedule to lift sanctions, and immediate oil export waivers for Tehran. But what were we expecting when on one side, Trump is facing an apocalyptic regime that wants the world to burn and on the other, an American public that has no stomach for war? He played the cards that were actually on the table.

I’m sick and tired of the politicians and podcasters who bitch and complain no matter what Trump does. They scream that the war has to stop, but the second he stops it, they turn around and yell, "what kind of deal is this?!" If the goal is to actually end Iran’s regime, history shows there's only one model that works: total WWII-style defeat, occupation, and denazification. That requires American boots on the ground and an Iranian people ready to build a free country from the rubble. But NO ONE, myself included, wants boots on the ground.

Is this MOU what Trump wanted? I doubt it. But he did exactly what a leader of a Republic should do: he listened to the people and found a way to end this. A dictator would have kept on going. At the end of the day, a president can only go as far as the people will carry him. Right now, our appetite for war stops at the gas pump.

Yea, agree with Beck’s take. And the other aspect is that Iran knew the American public didn’t want the war, evidenced by them amplifying Tucker Carlson podcasts. They simply had to stall long enough.

You realize this isn't actually proof of anything.

Unfortunately, there is a sizeable number of people on this board who are in the top number. They there are the liberals, who didn't even answer the poll, they are so mad.

Yep. This isn’t just leftists, it’s the mass narrative that can’t make a decision. Common sentiment is the war is a mistake, but won’t let it be a mistake. We were never going to win without staying long term, we better not stay long term, oh and look we caved. Just not a unified sentiment

All the while Iran is holding a body of water that doesn’t belong to them hostage, flaking on peace talks over and over after getting their asses kicked. Blame Israel all you want but it should be readily apparent that this is how they operate in that part of the world - not in good faith.

The solution was not to start the war.

The entire point of not gong to war with Iran is to avoid this scenario where there are no good options. Trump doesn't get to hide behind the "logic" you posted AFTER committing the cardinal sin (with the consequences that were obvious to multiple administrations prior to him)

Snowflakes, like progressive college kids who need safe spaces so they don't have to listen to "hate speech"? Beta males? The Democrats are all for pussificating/emasculating its men. You won't find that among MAGA.

This board is a safe space for snowflake republicans to post anonymously about liberals, if you haven’t read any other posts yet

Skipping over the decision to go to war is so dishonest. The dishonesty isn't shocking, given the population engaging in it, but it just has to be said.

Doing nothing doesn't solve the problem of a nuclear weapon showing up in weeks.
