Oh No! A Mercedes-Benz is going to cost more now. The horror.

You conveniently left out my boat. I need 100-150 gallons for a good fishing trip. So no i gotta pay 50% more than I was paying
I was actually defending your numbers, but let's flip your selfish, narcissistic, childish rant and see how it sounds.
No one has used nuclear weapons since 1945. Anyone with two or more working brain cells realizes that if Iran ever gets working nuclear weapons they won't stay in the silo 24 hours before they get launched at someone (probably Israel) and an actual nuclear war ensues.
Here's a great article that keeps it pretty light and easy to read (an important consideration in your case), but details what would happen globally after a nuclear exchange. Nuclear winter, ionization, would definitely affect the US, and then there's always the possibility of getting pulled into having to create stability in a very unstable region of the world.
Here, Country Boy Idiot
From the article:
quote:
A study reveals that if cities in the Middle East were to burn due to a nuclear war, they would release roughly 5 million tonnes of black carbon soot into the stratosphere.
Unlike normal smoke, this soot is pushed above the clouds where it cannot be washed away by rain.
If cities were to burn in a nuclear exchange, the resulting soot would block out the Sun globally. This is called a nuclear winter.
It would circle the globe, absorbing sunlight and causing a sudden, drastic drop in surface temperatures. This nuclear winter would lead to a total collapse of global agriculture.
Even a limited nuclear exchange between Israel and Iran could reduce global food calories by 90 per cent, leading to a famine that would kill billions of people far from the conflict zone.
But frick all that. Burt wants to go fishing, so all you bastards can starve—and he might too, but whatever—so that he can crank up the redneck machines he can't really afford and get drunk on the water on Sundays.

I had a buddy who sells Audis tell me sometime last year they were keeping them on ships while they waited to see WTF was going to happen with tariffs. But, per the poliboard, I guess that makes car salesmen retards who don't know how to adjust to markets!
So, you think shipping companies are cutting into their profits by just holding cars offshore instead of making money on transporting other goods? Or do you think car dealers are just paying storage for cars on ships they can't even sell?
Your story makes no business sense.

Why would you think if MB raised their prices that everyone else wouldn't as well?

I can’t help but wonder if it’s just a tad more complicated than your framing of it.
I haven't framed anything.
I've asked questions.
Can you answer them?

Why’s it okay for every country to tariff us?
Because they aren't tariffing us. They're tariffing their own citizens when they do that. We aren't paying those taxes, they are.

this is the main reason why I won’t answer your stupid questions
No it isn't. Come on, we both know that.

I would far rather pay a pass thru tariff than income tax. We could fund the USG on tariffs and a national sales tax (including publicly traded securities) and eliminate income taxes entirely. Making only some ppl pay taxes is bullshite.

More damn tariffs coming
This is what I voted for.
Tariff them, onshore the factories and watch the economy boom when people have quality jobs and can afford to buy things.

It’s always been about free trade.
Then Trump lied.

MAGA only wants tariffs for trade leverage as we have been ripped off.
Again, how is citizens of other countries paying tariffs to their own governments ripping us off?

The average factory job in America pays $17 an hour.
We're going to revolutionize the economy on that?
We can't fill the $17 an hour jobs we have vacant right now.

But no one is ever going to give you that choice.
You're currently paying both. And that is the way it will stay, regardless of what Trump or anyone else says. Income tax is not going anywhere, and I'm amazed that anyone actually thinks it might.

Mid terms are gone where you been?
Posted on 5/1/26 at 12:51 pm to wackatimesthree
Well at least the people bitching about tariffs would have to pay taxes too.

Can I answer your questions? Well, let’s see, I’ve got hands with fingers to tap keys to compose an answer, I’ve got eyes to read them with, I’ve got a brain with which to analyze them for possible response (that’s actually the strong suit, my brain, ftr & btw)……so yeah, I suppose I have all the necessities for answering a question or questions in a digital setting on the internet. Now, will I? That’s another thing altogether. I do note that you do have a schtick involving the practice of tapping out multiple questions in a post, on a contentious topic. And then set the tone of “you can’t answer because you’re wrong and I’m right!!” Which is far from the case. Most people simply aren’t gonna sit there and commit the time to play your game that no one wants to play.
So the biggest takeaways here are that yes, I can answer your questions, or any questions at that, as a general matter. Also, I don’t think there’s any misunderstanding as to the fact that we strenuously disagree on this topic - so what’s even the point of your questions to begin with?

The way you guys talk about tariffs you'd think Trump invented them. It's actually crazy.

Didnt Supreme Court just rule this was illegal? Hence, why those companies are getting a refund. And not passed to the consumer who paid them.
Posted on 5/1/26 at 1:23 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!
Tariffs are one of the things he’s done that is popular. That isn’t going to hurt the midterms. He just needs to hurry up and wrap up this Iran thing.
