Sara followed steps to legally migrate to the United States

Is that was true she would have some kind of legal status. It’s not possible to be here for years and not have some kind of legal status if you “followed steps to legally migrate”

Why do y'all continue to post these dumbass bleeding heart articles when you know you are going to get called out with facts that contradict your narrative because it it happens EVERY. SINGLE. TIME?

Her fiance explains:
quote:

He told Patch that his fiancée was born in Colombia and moved to the U.S. in 2020 when she was 15 years old. She was majoring in interior design and involved in community service and mentorship programs at school, where she held a 3.9 GPA.

Castilla said she had been granted Special Immigrant Juvenile status, which is designed to protect young immigrants who have experienced abuse or neglect. The status allows individuals who have come into the country to stay legally. Castilla said she and her mother had Social Security numbers and work permits.
Newsweek

Special Immigrant Juvenile Status? That's not one most Americans are familiar with, says it's for kids who have been abused or neglected? That sounds awful, I can see why abused and neglected kids may need a special immigration status. Let's take a little stroll over to the USCIS website and see what that status means...

quote:

You Must:

Have a valid juvenile court order issued by a state court in the United States which finds that:

You are dependent on the court, or in the custody of a state agency or department or an individual or entity appointed by the court;
You cannot be reunified with one or both of your parents because of any of the following:

Abuse;
Abandonment;
Neglect; or
A similar basis under state law; and
It is not in your best interests to return to the country of nationality or last habitual residence of you or your parents.
Note: Some juvenile courts may only be able to issue a juvenile court order if you are under 18 years of age.

But wait... Sara Lizeth Lopez Garcia is 20 and she was taken from her family home with her mother?

Sounds like she's been reunited with her mother so that Special Immigrant Juvenile Status no longer applies.

So we should let her stay because she is smart. That’s a new one

I bet you that some libtard lawyer told them it was just paperwork, a formality.

So they made a massively fraudulent claim.

Or they are lying about it all.

Good. I hope it happens over and over and over and over until they’re all gone. She took an AMERICAN CITIZEN’s spot. frick her.
Tell her to get in line behind the THOUSANDS in Colombia who’ve been waiting years to do it the right way at great expense

I voted for MASS deportations. That includes people who are nice people. Not just criminals. All of them.

The answer to “was she a citizen” is complex.

Was she here legally or not?

I don’t care what she was in the process of doing. I want to know her current status.

Do you know anything at all about the process to obtain permanent or temporary citizenship/visa/legal status? Be honest.

Yes.

She overstayed her visa, didn’t she? Or she just came over and never left.

It’s telling you won’t address the simple question of whether she had legal status at the time of her detention

No one on this board knows if she is in the US legally or not. She has brown skin and in this boards racist opinion that is enough to ship her out of this country. This board is littered with disgusting people who have a hive mind mentality. The stated intent was to deport CRIMINALS. There is nothing to show that this girl has ever engaged in a crminal activity. Nothing.

Why should anyone here illegally get to stay?

It would most likely be allowed to play out in court, then if it didn’t go your way you would be asked to leave or deported. At no point would the process be interrupted where you find yourself in a detention center.

You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. Japan takes the residency process very seriously.

Overstaying your visa in Japan would result in: fines, penalties, detainment/imprisonment, deportation, re-entry ban, residency application revocation, etc.

Also, Japan doesn’t allow in-country status change from tourist visa. You must leave the country, then apply for certificate of eligibility with the appropriate sponsor, and then apply for residency at a Japanese embassy.

Overstaying in Japan during any part of this process invalidates your eligibility.

This story smells. The truth is that we don't need more foreign born illegal immigrant designers. Anyone who believes she's a victim needs to be sent to Colombia with her.

No, it’s not complex. It is a simple, fact-based yes or no question.
