Braves are stacked and should make a deep run for the world series this season, it would be poetic justice to stick that pennant in the commissioner's eye.

$37 million and $190 million in his 213-page agenda packet.
Way to narrow it down. It is either this or somewhere up to 500% more.

The economics of the game don’t change...it will just shift to another city.

Actually, the impact will fall somewhere between $10 and $10 Billion.

If Atlanta was a free city that ran its own affairs, none of this would be an issue.

This is all because of the MLBPA, right? So Georgia should raise the tax rates on all visiting athletes.

Blacks that work for a living never have been Stacey Abrams' constituency anyway. Just sayin'.

All of those inner city black owned businesses will get less traffic now. Hate to see it

They didn't just grandstand. They were putting screws to people all over the place to make things like this happen. They are so incredibly powerful now. It'll be wild when they use Republicans blocking the new infrastructure bill as justification to remove the filibuster. You may as well shed far right wingers and form a new party

Right on. There is a purpose to all of these moves. They keep doing it over and over and few people pick up on it. Most of the crap going on is by planned design with an end goal in their sights. They are in complete control right now. The right needs to stop just responding and get more proactive.

Atlanta was 51% black in 2014. That number has been decreasing as more whites move into the actual city, which is about 500k out of a nearly 7m metro area. It's possible that Atlanta may be majority white by now. Blacks are moving out to the southern and eastern suburbs. The Braves stadium is now in Cobb county, which is north west of the city of Atlanta. This, if it stands, will certainly hurt the economy and, even though it was not their decision, it will hurt the Braves.

that has been happening the last 15 years and shows no signs of slowing down.

While you're right about both trends I believe the trend of whites moving in to the city will slow down.Crime and murders have spiked significantly along losing almost 200 police officers. LINK

Several of my friends have had enough and moved out. We'll what happens in the next mayor's race and see if home values will keep climbing.

Not the case.Whites are around 40% and blacks make up a little over 50% but it was over 60% 20+ years ago

Atlanta has a GDP of over 371 billion

Even if you were to believe the inflated 190million number it is a drop in the bucket.

190m/371 billion = around 5/100ths of a % change in Atlanta's economy.

It was NOT fair for Kemp to be in charge of the election for gov. AND be a candidate in that race.
