They did. They just didn't GAF because the offended players were Christians, not Muslims.

This wasn't in response to Hawley, it was because AAG Dhillon sent a hot letter to Manfred.

I call this the Tommy John’s approach. Turn on a right wing podcast and you’ll hear their advertisements. Turn on a left wing podcast and you’ll hear their advertisement. Try to get them to take a side and they shrug and say “We sell underwear, what do you want from us?” Then eventually everyone leaves you alone and lets you sell underwear. It’s not that hard.

Todd Starnes is an opinion-driven conservative outlet, so I checked the actual MLB quote. The headline says MLB admitted they “mistreated Christian players.” The quote says they won’t discipline them and support religious expression. Those aren’t the same statement.

How the hell did they not know this before?
They knew full well.
They just didn’t care until they realized the Trump DOJ was about to get so far up their arse about violating the players civil rights that their attorneys were able to talk them out of it.

Distinction without a difference. Sorry for your loss.

Pride nights need to be canceled in all sports. Professional athletes should not forced to wear rainbows on their uniforms. It’s ridiculous.

True. But ‘sports’ has, through this type of political activism, jettisoned a whole generation of fans, and they aren’t coming back.

Common theme we're seeing in other areas of entertainment as well, movies, music, etc... these folks believe shaming their core supporters is the morally right thing to do because... That's admitting they've been OK in assuming we're all racist POS for decades, but somehow NOW it's OK to run us away and just replace us?
Pro sports is protected via massive companies which hand over money, give them ad revenue so that the Joe fan off the street doesn't impact their bottom line so much. Look at the WNBA. Should not exist, because it's fully funded by the NBA and sponsors. Not fans.

Two years removed from the dumb administration and we are still dealing with their ignorance. Will it ever change. Do what you want in your bedroom but keep it there. Is that such a hard concept?? People that use their sexual choices to define them are the weakest people on earth.

“We understand that some players or other on-field personnel have not been comfortable wearing the pride emblem on their uniform based on their religious beliefs,” the league wrote. MLB went even further, acknowledging a basic workplace protection for players of faith.
MLB hiding behind pretending this is about religious differences isn’t good enough.
MLB was trying to punish those who weren’t compliant with a communist agenda.

quote:This is the problem. Sinful lifestyles are celebrated and supported while Christian beliefs are merely recognized or tolerated. It’s a flip from what it was a few decades ago.
The league said it still supports Pride celebrations and LGBTQ fans, but also recognizes religious expression.

The old saying is leave your politics and religion at the gate and this goes for the bosses also.

So who thinks the players would’ve likely been fined and/or suspended if there was a Democrat in the whitehouse? Up vote for yes, down vote for no.

How dare you ignore Stan the world famous San Fran Man Whore's right to be acknowledged as special as he walks around the ballpark making an arse out of himself and spreading STDs in the men's bathroom during the 7th inning stretch.
