What if he becomes the senior editor of the Gay section on Huffpost. They occasionally had pro-free speech articles in the college section a few years ago, but who knows that could have changed by now.

edit: I haven't read the thread yet but if no one else has mentioned it then this is obviously a publicity stunt. After working all of the trumpkins into a frenzy over cancelling it, they will sudenly, after much thought and consideration, see the light and release the book. All the trumpkins rush out to buy their copy so they can show all their friends how they SJW'd "the man"

The books Jenkins, as czar of safe schools, used books from his organization GLSEN. Those books were targeting middle schoolers. They were explicted. The people interviewed in those books talked about their experiences as 13 year olds with older men.

That's why they cancelled if this was a small ideological publisher they could take the hit- but the kinds of people who give big advances also have the juice to just cancel it and the kind of ties where they're vulnerable to pressure- if Milo cost them a major fiction author for example.

Half of Milo's schtick is that the left wants to "silence" him. This will probably only serve to promote that narrative and encourage his most ardent followers. Meanwhile, I'm sure there's at least one greedy publishing company that would take a chance to publish a pretty much guaranteed instant best-seller. I would caution anyone against jumping to the conclusion that this is somehow going to end him.

Look, I was an exceedingly precocious kid and young adult.
I expected to be able to run circles around most adults, and I did.
I can certainly relate to Milo in that regard.
Essentially he's saying at 14, he personally was as competent as most adults. I don't doubt that at all. He may well be spot on.

Book sales for traditional publishers are as low as they've ever been. Milo had a sure-fire best seller and they are now canceling it?
