Even if she knew charges were still possible, she couldn’t know for sure that they would act on them or when.
And that begs another good question. Why the frick does a case like this need a sealed indictment rather than an open one?

Serious question, but what is a tRumpkin? Every time I see someone try and be funny using that in a sentence, I picture it being used by a fat guy with food all over his shirt in his mom's basement. It's not funny nor witty

All families have their disagreements…especially during a quarantine…. In Ca nothing happens when you call the police…..I am shocked my family was arrested after I told the police to drop all charges months ago. I had a general affidavit of non prosecution notarized today and I spoke with the police chief , who told me I could not do anything until Monday morning and my daughter, son and her boyfriend have to stay in jail over the weekend. I am extremely upset… this is not what I wanted to happen. I think they have a lot bigger fish to fry…makes me think this might have been done to prevent her from coming out with some political information she is covering. There was no reason for this.
Reading about the entire thing, it seems this is a case where the crazyacorn didn't fall far from its crazytree.

I saw all of that, but, it's important to consider, this entire incident happened at Milly's house. The Mother lives some place else.
No matter what else is going on, a person should not be able to come to your house, start trouble, then get you arrested. Furthermore, If a person comes to your house, starts trouble, then doesn't press any charges, The DA should be staying the hell out of it.

Edit: I saw the three other charges. There was in fact a fourth charge of misdemeanor domestic violence. I amend my original statement to say she likely should not have been charged with DV. This situation does not seem like it meets the spirit of DV laws.
The whole thing is hinky, no matter what you think of her film or her politics.

How could there be a domestic violence charge? If the Mom lived there, I could understand a charge like that, maybe, but she didn't even live there.
That stance would imply, that somebody can just come to your house, start shite, and get you messed up.
