'Millennial Millie' Weaver

Link to audio of Millie's phone call from jail to friend and fellow journalist Tore ('Tore Says' blog). Audio starts at about 2 minutes -

The arrest is based on an allegation that Millie took her mother's phone and broke it. Mother has refused to press charges, but county secured a grand jury indictment.

Millie said police threatened to shoot her during interrogation on the original charge involving her mom's cell phone.

State children's services attempting to take her children away per phone conversation. Apparently, a court hearing has already been scheduled by children's services.

That’s crazy! I shared it on FB, but doubt it will stay up long.

I suppose it would squeak by under the broadest interpretation of the statute.

Doesn't justify a threat to shoot Millie during an interrogation - or moving to take her children away. Not in my world, anyway.

There's gotta be more to it than that

There is that 'exposing the deep state employing private contractors to do their dirty work' thing.

It doesn't. The way it is in Alabama is if the kids are around, social services automatically gets involved n they don't even need the family member to press charges. It's the worst written law I've seen lol. That doesn't explain the felony charge for it tho. Clown world

Felony threshold is what amount there.

If it is a legit $50 phone, it is major overcharging. Should be enough to show malfeasance by the DA in charge even though it was a grand jury indictment.

Ineresting.

County DA is also tight with billionaire-buddy of Jeffrey Epstein, Les Wexner - according to Tore during phone call from jail.

I suppose she should just be thankful she wasn’t assassinated by a door-delivery man.

The amount of bullshite to justify felony over misdemeanor will be interesting.

“Phone” doesn’t narrow it down but the story may be “she destroyed an iPhone valued at XXX” when that model retailed at that price 8 years ago.

Claiming a used iPhone 5 is $500-800 like it was an iPhone X or beyond would be sketchy as hell.

If her mother isn't pressing charges, why is the DA going so hard on such a minor issue? I mean, other than the obvious "she's exposing the wrong people".

Someone needs to be taking a very close look at the DA.

Especially if the mother refused to press charges.
