What the us military is gonna be working on is disarming the American population that's why they want virtual drones who will not question orders. Yes.
Also, I have to wonder if the person knows who is actually in the military. You may be surprised to know that not everyone in the military is even a citizen.
And historically, it kind of seems like the military is usually on the establishments side, while its people rebelling that bring the change against them. Otherwise, you're going to need a split in government like the civil war.
Beyond that, what is the military supposed to do? Have a coup so the people can keep electing the same people in the best case?
A nice fantasy, but purely fantasy. What's needed is a cure for people's suspension of belief when it comes to politics.
