Yes. Officers and enlisted from various branches (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard) stand in formation, render honors, escort, or provide visual presence. This happens for every recent president.
It is not a security detail (Secret Service handles personal protection) or a signal of special military control/intelligence oversight. Claims framing the presence of these particular branch officers as unprecedented or ominous misread normal protocol and pageantry.

Similar military backdrops and formations appear in prior inaugurations and other presidential events. The post’s framing (“when in history...”) and some replies treat ordinary branch diversity in the ceremonial detail as unique or loaded; it is not.
