Mike owns a company here in Huntsville called Pinnacle Solutions and has announced his run for Senate. Should be an interesting race to follow. You may remember him from the movie Black Hawk Down.

There's no race here.

Mo Brooks will win Alabama Senate by comfortable to blowout margins.

Both primary and general.

And that's a good thing. I love quiet and easy races for the good guys.

What a refreshing change of pace from the clusterfrick that was the Roy Moore and Doug Jones race.

Yeah. I am not sure what Durant is doing here, unless it is positioning himself to run for Mo's vacated HOR seat by getting his name in front of everyone.
There really isn't anything else that makes sense. His views appear to line up with Mo's, and Mo has a track record of being solid in standing for conservative views. So why would you run against him instead of putting your efforts behind him, unless it was to gain name recognition?

There's a limit to this tactic.

Lose often enough and it becomes your reputation and you can't gain traction in smaller races.

I think it will be the wife of former Alabama Offensive lineman Wesley Britt.

I got a text from him tonight announcing his run and asking for a donation. It's Mo's to lose he choose the wrong race this time.

I don’t dislike Mo, in fact I respect him

But I’m probably going to vote for and support Mrs Britt

Strange time in the cycle to get in, especially for a first time candidate.

This is called insurance.

If they feel they might not be able to beat Brooks straight up, I fully expect more “Trump friendly” entries to start popping up to split Brooks’ vote. The money knows every trick and desperately do NOT want Mo Brooks to win this election.

He is a rino candidate that was on the Bush, Mccain, and Romney campaigns. His company is part of the military industrial complex which as of lately is a huge red fricking flag for me. No fricking way I would vote for this guy.

Just saw that on the news here in HSV. Saw him speak once at the art museum. Very good guy. Puzzling he likes Trump since Trump said he does not like POW's, unless Trump was specifically pointing out wreckless John McCain.

I think the Democrats will harp on Mo's stance on the so called Jan. 6th attack on the capital to turn off voters. Mo has said many off the wall things through the years.

He can begin building campaign money and name recognition for a first timer will go a long way in this kind of race.

It's not democrats Mo has to worry about. (At least, not in name)

I've talked with high level people in Britt's campaign very recently. They're about to go heavy on Brook's Mormon connection in conservative areas and Jan 6 connection in semi blue areas in order to win some independents. I don't see Brooks not winning at this point.

As conservatives, we could do a lot worse than Brooks.

I just heard Durant on the radio earlier today.

I'm sure he's a decent guy but, I could tell by his rhetoric that he's one of the folks who thinks we should have stayed in Afghanistan forever. He cited how upset he was when Clinton basically tucked tail after Black Hawk Down but, that seems to have been MUCH too formative upon his thinking.

Most Soldiers I knew while in Afghanistan could see the stupidity of the long term mission and had long since concluded that every new death was a wasted death.

We could but the State could do better in selecting candidates as well...

Durant is a good guy and I can appreciate what he had to endure but he is heavily playing in the MIC, which is formative on just about all of his opinions...

It was very formative on everyone involved back then. Clinton was a POS and an even larger one for tieing our hands behind our backs and then pussying out of Mog after BHD.

I have no idea where Mike stands on issues, what I do know is he is cut from the same cloth as my son (same Bat, Co, and squad) and Mike has been on the compound several times when my son was there. He is a stand-up guy.
