Anything can be a deadly weapon if used correctly.

Supposedly this is the knife.

Ozark Trail 6-In-1 Multitool, Knife with Light, Model 5335

I have a knife similar to that. Some milwaukee pocket knife that has a spring loaded action. Makes it easy to flip open. Pretty sharp.

A right handed person is going to almost always stab someone on the left side of the body. Unfortunately, the heart leans toward the left side of the body.

That said, a lefty would probably naturally aim for the liver.

All this discussion about blade length is pretty shameful. And from a politician at that. If she was a human being and not an animal she would feel shame.

Getting riled up about the type of knife this is won’t get you very far.

Half of the Benchmade line looks more “aggressive” than that.

And the gas station/walmart lines even more so.

I guess it depends on what you use a knife for but I pretty much consider any knife I can carry a pocket knife. Its literally just a tool for me and if heaven forbid something is happening bad its a tool for that as well.

Long enough to kill someone...

Indeed. It's the person using the tool that is the weapon.

I mean, a hammer can just as easily kill. That doesn't mean we need to have a discussion about hammers. It means we need to look at who's doing the killing.

Sorry, but you sound like the left trying to talk about guns. If it’s a knife that can fit in your pocket, it’s a pocket knife to me. Are you trying to advocate for reasonable knife control now?

This is what is in my pocket everywhere I go:

STFU

Not even close to that

If you followed the case at all, you would understand how much they downplayed the knife hence my reaction to seeing it was actually a tactical knife and not a typical pocket knife

Why are you acting like a retard?

This is silly. Is it a tactical knife because of aesthetics?

You sound like the gun banners who want certain guns banned because they are scary looking.

Could have had the same result in this case with a steak knife.

Apparently it is long enough to reach the heart of a pretty good sized 17 year old. I’d still call it a pocket knife, but that doesn’t mean it’s not lethal.

Some of you people lack the emotional intelligence to have actual back-and-forth conversations. It's sad

Regardless of what someone calls it, it was long enough and sharp enough to stab the deceased's heart.

You can kill someone with a ballpoint pen if you know what to do with it.

In fact, trying to minimize the action by minimizing the weapon only necessarily underscores the intent that much more. You have to be more motivated, more skilled in violence, and more savage to kill someone with a less lethal weapon.

Because it was a ridiculous conclusion to jump to when I said nothing of the sort, and I don't have a history of advocating for any type of weapon control.

I gave it the response it was worthy of.

It's got the seat belt strap cutting instrument on one end. I keep a knife like this in my car in case I end up upside down and conscious enough to be able to cut the seat belt.

That's a very good point that was probably lost on those trying to minimize the weapon used.

Not a deadly weapon?

It damn sure killed the kid. Anyone doubting that?
