I collect knives and have a few folders/flippers with larger blades than what is shown. So yes, I would consider that a pocket knife, doesn't make it any less lethal when used with dangerous intent.

This.
It's still a pocket knife IMHO, but you have to remember there's a huge amount of variability among pocket knives.

You’ll notice that evidence marker has a scale on it.

I figured it was a scale, but I couldn’t tell what the units were. Thanks.

It's both a tactical knife and a pocket knife, two things can be true at the same time.

Doesn't really matter though, what matters is who is in possession of it.

Clearly, an assault knife.

Yes, that is considered a pocket knife and yes it can be used as a lethal weapon. Can any of the Karmelo supporters answer as to why he had an open knife in his back pack?

That looks like my edc knife. I’d 100% call it a pocket knife.

I would consider that a pocket knife if I'm being honest.

What makes this type of knife more lethal than a “Swiss army knife” or other knife with similar blade length is, believe it or not, the handle. The handle is thick and ergonomic which allows you to get leverage and keep firm grip when making aggressive stabs and slashes.

Also I will say these knives come very sharp from the factory. They don’t hold an edge long but out of the box they are razor sharp.

Looks like a utility/emergency knife you’d keep in your car. Notice the glass break tool on the butt of the handle and the “gut hook” which is used to cut through seat belts in a car crash.

If the young scholar really dindu nuffin and was only trying to scare or hurt, not kill with his “tiny little knife” out of self-defense, why did he go straight for the chest - why not a shoulder or a leg?

I could understand not carrying a pocketknife since 1980 might make you oblivious to pocketknives of this century.

That’s a pocketknife and not a particularly large one.

Definitely deadly if you stab someone in the heart with it.
