Masks... I don't like them, but love seeing restaurant workers wear them.

I hope this becomes a policy from now to eternity. If you are doing food prep, wear a mask and keep your spital and sneezes to yourself.

As for everyday activities, nope. I hate them. If I have a cold, I will give it a try, but otherwise, nope.

People cooking your food should get double pay if forced to wear masks. Imagine how uncomfortable it is in a hot kitchen without a mask. Now imagine wearing one while slaving over a hot stove. Your meals should double in price to help pay for your demands.

Hourly worker. Little or no sick time; maybe a combined sick/vacay PTO. Interchangeable wait staff & cooks for the most part. I think a few might just come in sick to get paid.

Thats such a shite attitude to have towards chefs. Yea because I really want someone who is working hard to prepare something delicious for me to be uncomfortable all day.

A mask can be easily lifted so that a food preparer can blow snot onto your hamburger and then cover it with mayonaise.

Restaurant workers staying home when they don't feel well

That's funny, have you ever worked in the Restaurant industry?!?! You make very little money and have little to no sick time, good luck making people stay home to make no money so they can't pay their bills or put food on the table for themselves or family

Good joke, good joke

I took OP as restaurants should wear it & OP would
quote:

If I have a cold, I will give it a try

As in OP doesn’t work in a kitchen but if sick still go to work because masks are now acceptable everywhere

If you take a stomach virus or the flu into a large office setting because you are “covered” by wearing a mask that’s wrong

then what’s the goddam difference? If the restaurant industry has always had filthy, half sick workers working— why change now?

Covid hasn’t actually changed anything other than prove people will allow their rights to be eroded without the slightest amount of pushback. Why stop at masks? Why not gloves? Why not whole hazmat suits? I mean, if it can save one life... right? You don’t want to murder grandmaw, do you? HAZMAT SUITS FOR EVERYONE!!!!!

You people just absolutely love dictating how private businesses run and how private citizens live their lives. All because you’re too much of a vagina.

You're literally a Marxist. Hope you are proud of yourself taking advantage of our freedoms while you spit in the face of us.

As a former pizza chef at a local pizzeria, I think you should work in that gigantic oven we called a kitchen, before you decide that wearing a mask is a good idea.

We took great precautions to avoid any sort of contamination, I assure you. No one sneezes or coughs into the food. And while I'm at it, I'd also request that you work in crammed space with a handful of people trying to cook for an entire restaurant full of people, AND to go orders, before you blow your top off when your food is 5 minutes behind.

They can still spit in your food, Karen.

How about we catch up with the rest of the developed world and offer adequate leave? That way people don't get in financial trouble by missing a couple days, and they stop spreading their sickness to others and putting that drain on the economy.

Where the hell did I say I was dictating what a private business does? I never said I wanted the government to mandate it.

I am against government mandated mask wearing, but grief, some of you are so hyper sensitive that you don't bother anything deeper than, mask.... uuuuuuhhhhhhh.

I like that the fast food servers are wearing them. Yeah, they can still jack with our food, but in general, it is cleaner... especially with low wage, young folk who probably haven't been raised to handle food properly.
