I'm calling bs on your "used to own a small restaurant" story. That would have been something to include in your original post. I think you're a disgruntled person who thinks he has the answers, without having experienced the conditions he expects others to deal with.

You're "not saying it should be mandated", but you've just stated that if your employees didn't like it you'd fire them. It's already hard enough to breathe in those things ALL DAY LONG. It's actually been clinically proven to be bad for your health to wear those things for extended periods of time. But you would have people working in hot kitchens wearing those masks all day. I'm sorry, but you have no idea what you're suggesting.
