I'd be perplexed as our values are extremely similar and would ask her about it. I'd be a bit hurt she didn't feel she could come to me and discuss these sorts of issues.

GF is liberal - voted Trump 2016 then biden 2020 and I'm sure Harris this year.
Almost broke up over Biden bc it's idiotic. Since it's Florida her vote is worthless so not worth the fight but it amazes me how ignorant people can be

She is Canadian and cant but if she could it would be Trump. She doesn't like Trudeau either. (she would say it a more robust manner)

I couldn't imagine having a relationship with a wife who would have to lie and conceal things like this from me. What kind of relationship or marriage would this be?! You can't be open and honest with your spouse? This would be the sign of the ultimate poor relationship. What other secrets would be kept?
Fortunately, my wife is super MAGA, and is as politically involved and motivated as I am.

It's the opposite with us. She is far to the right of me. So, if I lied to her and voted for Kamala and she found out, the consequences would be bloody. She trained our 2 dogs to attack me when she screams. That's 150 lbs of dog that will not let me up off the floor until she stops screaming.

My wife has a brain so she voted for Trump. If she didn’t, I’d kick er to the curb.

If my wife found out I voted for Kamala, there’s an 80% chance she would file for divorce.

This is a thread for people with spouse's of the opposite biological sex.
How do we know Mick is not hooked up with a 'Log Cabin' Republican type?
Are there possibly similar quandaries in same-sex relationships? Is it dependent on who's the top and who's the bottom, as to who has to fear who?

Absolutely not. I would tell him in a second because we have a mature relationship. But he married someone who isn’t stupid so he doesn’t have to worry.

My wife and daughters would never vote for that bullshite. They are more against her than me

Not married, but my GF is a naturalized citizen from El Salvador. She’s fully onboard the MAGA train.
If she wasn’t, I think her own non-US citizen mother would never speak to her again if she voted for Kamala. That woman is more MAGA than Trump himself.

I've been very open with my wife about my voting convictions and have told her she is free to vote her conscience.
Fortunately, she's a faithful Christian and would never vote for someone like Harris, but she knows I love her regardless.

My wife, nor anyone in her extended family, would ever vote Democrat so I don't have to wonder about any of that. I have one in my extended family. My cousin was a confederate junkie in college and then decided to be a democrat in grad school. His immediate family gives him shite for it.

I don’t allow my wife to vote. It’s best to keep them away from the polls completely.

About 4.5 years married after 2 years of dating. If she voted Kamala, she wouldn't have just simply lied about who she voted for, it would mean she's been lying about her political identity the entire time we've known each other. I guess in a technical sense it's not impossible but that's a lot of time and effort to keep up such a lie. Plus it would have began when we were just getting to know each other before we shared a house and a kid and a last name so it's not like there was anything to gain or lose by lying about it back then.
After as much time and experiences we've had together I'm pretty confident that isn't the case.

I'm more MAGA than my husband.
