MHS grad here, seems like a great guy who wants better for Louisiana. Got my vote as he did when he ran for House in 2019
Would rather the "young" guy who wants better for the state, than the older politician that JBE or Landry is looking for individual gain

I think there is a general distrust amongst voters, especially young voters, in regard to veteran, politically entrenched candidates which may ultimately play into Nelson's advantage.

Same here. I talked to him recently

I don't believe.
On a side note my out of state friend always laugh at the mascot for MHS, Skippers.
To be fair MHS was the Skippers long before Gilligan's Island.

I'm still holding out for The Fat Man to enter the race.

Spotted a low information voter.

He’s gonna win. People are looking for a fresh face with a fresh message. Bennett Johnson ran a shoe string campaign and Nelson can do the same and win.

Wow, that was a good interview. You could definitely tell how much he wanted to debate those opponents.

He had me at Dinosaur. In.

Louisiana Mimics corrupt CONgress and the White House. Decrepit incompetents that ran us into the ground for decades and decades that all now suddenly have the answers to the problems they caused.
Purge the system.

One day we might get the right leader to fix the tax issues and the corruption, but how do you turn around a state when all your main cities have huge violent crime problems?
Posted on 1/18/23 at 10:48 pm to Socrates Johnson
He has my attention. I will be keeping an eye on his campaign.
Posted on 1/18/23 at 11:30 pm to Socrates Johnson
I just listened to the interview and reviewed his webpage. I’ll continue to monitor his campaign but he sounds like a moderate democrat to me, just like JBE presented himself when he ran. JBE proved that they only sound moderate when they ask for your vote but act like leftist when they govern.

In the long term, education and opportunity. In the short term, State police.

I think your political spectrum is malfunctioning.

I like his policies but its practically a turn off that someone with so little experience has the hubris to run for the highest office in the state. I hate that shite.

A lot of posters in this thread sound more than a little connected to Nelson. Repeating talking points basically.
