The image gun grabbers like to put out there is that if a good guy w/ a gun tries to shoot an active shooter in a public place, that everyone around will die.

This good guy w a gun proved it doesn't happen, so yeah, it proved a lot.

A few more details from The Oklahoman:
quote:

Capt. Bo Mathews said a man, whose name has not been released, went into the restaurant and opened fire, wounding two people. After leaving the restaurant, the suspect was confronted by a person who was armed with a gun and opened fire, fatally striking the suspect.

Two people were taken from the scene in emergency status to OU Medical Center, said Lara O’Leary, spokeswoman for Emergency Medical Services Authority.

I'm all for defense, but is this legally accurate? Seems more vigilante to me if the citizen confronted him

Maybe he confronted the good guy. Who knows? Don't question a happy ending too hard.

So the good guy was at the right place at the right time and did the right thing. That isn’t being a vigilante. Trouble found him. And really who gives a shite how the bad guy was taken out.

You down for armed citizens running down criminals and shooting them? They aren't a threat if they are leaving.

I mean he could have forgotten a clip and walked to his car to get one and turned around to walk back in. I don't know. If that was the case then fire away. He's a threat.

But if the guy was leaving, I don't think legally you have a case. Sounds like murder right?
