There have always been hotheads but there have not always been leftard run city's that are extremely dangerous. People are now living under the rational fear of home invasions. I wouldn't shoot like that but when someone panics bad things can happen.
Leftards need to clean up their cities if they don't want the conditions where tragedies like this are more likely to occur.

If the last few years have taught us anything, it’s that reports, especially initial ones, can be slanted.
The doorbell video clip I saw showed kids knocking & kicking the door, then getting shot through the door. If this is the case, it’s more of a gray area.
There’s a difference between prank knocking & trying to pretend you’re you’re breaking in.

We drove Chevelles, GTXs, Mustangs, and customized vans. We made ample use of those of the back seats, and MD 20/20 was the order of the day. The cars were fast, and the women were slender.
Yall certainly had cooler cars and better music....but I think I realized by around age 15 that MD 20/20 is some rot gut shite......

sorry about your Honda Civic and Muffy not giving it up until you were 23
Being a 90's teen I can tell you....the back seats of those Honda's werent comfortable but they certainly were used....

You can't shoot someone in the back who's running away, though.
Sure, that's the story right now....

What the kid did was pretty normal kid behavior.
I got $10 that it wasn’t “ding dong ditch,” but “kick the door in for TikTok.”
Did you do that as a kid?

Any charges been filed against those neglecting parents. Why was an 11 year old out playing pranks at 11pm?

You want to file charges against the parents of the child that just died?

I did it when I was a kid, I'm sure you did too, I'm sure pretty much everybody here did it at least once.
I never once did this prank. Nor did I roll any houses. Never stole anything or damaged anything. Never thought it was funny TBH. But trying to draw some sort of risk analysis based on your childhood and the year 2025 is pretty stupid. We did a lot of things 20 or 30 years ago that we don't today. Simply because the risk is far greater now.
Like someone shooting at you.

A 11 year old out at 11pm, going up to strangers houses and knocking on doors. Parents should be held accountable for the minor child. You think its ok to let 11 year olds run the streets at 11pm?

I got $50 that even if they did kick the door, if they really turned and ran down the street and were shot in the back while fleeing, the guy's still going to prison.
Who is going to hold the money?

Apparently you didn't, so don't include yourself in your statement.

Never got any either, did you?
Look, I can't help it if you were the class nerd.

I agree. Who actually did that? Not me.

You think they bear no responsibility for what happened, letting an 11 year old run around unsupervised at 11pm?
The killer is going to prison, and rightly so. But he very likely would have never got off his couch were it not for what the kids did. The 11 year old is not there to be shot if the parents are doing their job.

There is only one question.
These kids are sprinting away. It’s hard to hit targets in daylight that move.
Nighttime and multiple gunshot wounds to the back? Multiple?
If it’s a 9mm or .45 he’s a marksman.

Not everyone will agree with you but your statement is 100% a fact. It’s really not arguable.

Everyone will agree with it and it is a fact.
It's just not relevant or meaningful.

He’s going to prison for the rest of his life.

That's being a reckless gunowner.
That's why I have such a difficult time with gun laws.
On the one hand, hell yes we all have the right to protect ourselves, our families, and our property. 90%+ of gun owners never want to have to use it for self-defense.
But then, on the other hand, you have the gun owners who PRAY for an opportunity to shoot someone. Some opportunity to play Billy Badass. The guy who open carries to go grab a cup of coffee kind of mofo.
This dude no doubt falls in the latter category....waited who knows how long for his big chance. Glad he's headed to prison, hopefully for life.

Sure, and you can tell by the responses here how many of those kinds of people post here.
But it's the price of freedom. Some people are going to do idiot stuff with it.
I'm a lot more worried that populism is going to convince the less intelligent among us that freedom is too expensive and that we need the state to make us "safer" even if it means we give up freedom.
I'm afraid we're already headed that way.

Just stop please. There is no defense for what this moron did and he’s likely a lunatic suffering from paranoia. You give reasonable gun owners a very bad name when you attempt to align idiots like this with rational behavior.
Take a breath and notice he wasn't defending the shooter at all.
