This will predictably end well.
Idiots.

That's a great idea. It worked so well in California when they made shoplifting ok as long as it was under $1,000.

Racial disparity on standardized tests, abolish the test.
Racial disparity in crime, abolish the crime.
Racial disparity in job placement, insert DEI.
This is how they think, they can’t win on a level playing field.

I really hope NYC does this. I'll be here for the lulz as it collapses.
What is odd to me is that NYC is the capitalism center of the civilized world... Talk about shithole city if he gets any of that in effect.

The non-violent should not be locked up with violent criminals. Either place them in separate facilities or impose some other form of punishment.

No more traffic tickets? Run all the red lights you want to. Sounds like a good idea.
Just like India and many third world countries, traffic laws merely a suggestion.

At least if they try and run they might slip on homeless feces and hurt themselves or get caught, baby steps.

That should lose the election for him.

These people are mainstream Democrats now. That party has lost its mind.

In the end this guy is an anomaly.
It’s people like this that hijacked my state and managed to screw California up so bad. The progressive cancer spreads quickly and destroys everything it touches. But you already know that.

My God, I hope NY elects this guy.

How about... and I'm just spitballing here... but... how about DON'T COMMIT CRIMES.
Can they just not help themselves?
"Well, here's the thing. I was just walking down the street... and all of a sudden, for whatever reason.. I just started committing this crime. Can't explain it, but I'm fairly certain it's whitey's fault."

What this will ultimately devolve (or further devolve where it is already underway) into is selective enforcement.
If you are of particular demographics, you will face no consequences. If you are of other demographics, you will face consequences.
(E.g. see treatment of J6 folks versus Antifa Portland)

Add drunk driving to the list of NYC misdemeanors.
3rd degree assault.
Larceny under a certain amount.
These people are insane.

Your J6 comparison to Portland doesn’t match the facts…

Isn't this the same analysis that DC used to say there was lower crime statistics
If you eliminate the definition of crime or the enforcement of crime your statistics are going to reflect less crime funny how that works
Part of me wants New York to elect this guy mayor
