Now THAT is profound information!

Are we boycotting businesses that seek tax breaks now?

Unlike MallOfLA, none of these businesses contribute to the schools in your area.

Damn, I jumped the gun and began boycotting the MoL many, many years ago.

But shouldn't those BR cheerleaders on this board actually be pumping up business for Cortana Mall instead of MoL? Kip could close a couple of lanes of Florida Blvd. so the new IBM employees could ride their bikes to Cortana. Isn't the urban core the key to it all?

By the term of their leases all the businesses in the MOL pay a percentage of their gross sales to the MOL. Anything which supports the MOL is out for me, I vote with my wallet and feet, If the incorporation of St. George succeeds AND those stores are paying their sales taxes to the City of St. George then I would rescind.

I pay >$4K a year of property taxes to the BR, money which in my opinion goes down the shite hole. I do what I can to make sure as little else as possible gets in Kips wallet.

Kip's "leadership" tried to get us to build a white elephant over the levee downtown. the project would have flooded from high water the 1st year it existed. Kip is a divisive buffoon.

If the MOL had not requested annexation, I don't think there is a chance in hell that the people of BR would have been able to mobilize anything against the MOL...and there is zero chance they would have supported Cortana given the frequency with which they negatively speak of black residents of BR.

Doubtful. Baton Rouge does not get all of the property taxes you pay.

We pay the lowest taxes in the region, have had the most infrastructure improvements, and have a transparent government with the best credit rating in the state.

This must be stopped!

So why even stay here? And are you saying you don't use ANY city/parish services?

Yes, those cops did a great job, I got a police report for the ins claim.

My house will be up for sale by year end, unless I decide to use it for a group home for 'recovering' sex offenders. You can get great grants for that.

As for the leasers paying % of profit to MOL.. That's a negotiable lease term and not all pay as such

Great. Stay away from MOL, especially during the holidays so it'll be easier for me to park & shop. And do enjoy that great mall in D.Springs. And the traffic on I-12 getting there. And the traffic jam coming back home.

That's genius. Your infrastructure is already struggling to survive. I have great confidence this will work wonders for where you live.

My retail business has been robbed twice, my home has been robbed twice, I live in the Sherwood-Coursey area that now has fortune tellers and tattoo parlors, Kip's people moving in, I'm moving out.

From personal dealings the BR Police are trained morons, Sid Gautreaux the EBR sheriff is incompetent to handle the day to day handling or writs and seizures, Elmer Litchfield please come back.

I will sell all my holding in EBR, hopefully by year end.

Did people actually think that St. George was going to ban black people?

St George was not the great white hope some of you thought it was. The school demographics weren't going to change, and you can't ban section 8 housing, food stamps, and welfare.
