Yep. This is the way to go. Illegals wouldn’t be coming here if businesses weren’t hiring them.

If you are hiring illegals, you are knowingly breaking the law.

Have you tried to find an hourly worker lately? Our scum bag federal government is paying too many people not to work, illegals included.

you need to get out and look around a bit at the big democrat cities that are being laid to waste by lawless peoples of all colors. There is no brick by brick. Only piles of human waste

You thought wrong as usual. These organized caravans are promised welfare, which is why theyre coming.

You sure? I thought you said the border issue could be solved with economics - just get rid of welfare and problem solved.

Make selling goods to an illegal punishable too, it will disappear quicker.

Businesses didn’t create this problem. Illegals are already pretty good at finding jobs with the right documentation.

Just goes through NGOs and local towns/cities.

The locals are noticing. These newly arrived are getting assistance that long term residents arent getting.

We have a housing crisis in this country, yet millions are being spent to house people who aren't American, while low income Americans go without. New York City has spent $600 million to house migrants, though its public housing residents live in squalor. "The city is going to put forth a ton of money for these people who aren't even citizens, but they forgot about the people who live in public housing right here," as one resident put it.

Looks like a perfect recipe for ethnic conflict.

You expect and employer to demand the work records and status of anyone that works for a subcontractor or contractor to that employer?

Yes. That’s what I expect. Because that’s the only way it ever gets fixed. If you were a ceo and faced jail time if you subbed a job to a company that used illegals, you would make damn sure their workers were named Steve and John instead of Stefano and Juan. Don’t have a business if you don’t want to comply with the law

Musk would not hire them for SpaceX and the feds are suing him. He says they cant pass security clearance, they say they are not illegal they are "pending".

In other words he is trying to abide by the federal law and the federal law is suing him because of it.

How are we supposed to verify if the proprietor of your nearest dry cleaners or mechanic is legal before contracting his services?

Construction industry does it with e-verify.

And how do you verify that the Indian owner of the gas station you pumped gas from was legal?

Also, you know nothing of the construction industry. The vast majority of new housing developments in the southwest are filled with illegals. Independent contractors aren't using e-verify for their labor.

company hires an illegal…who goes to jail? The owner? The CEO? The HR manager? The supervisor? The manager? Your statement is idiotic.

Yeah it's completely stupid and doesn't solve any problems.

^ Two people who would probably be going to jail under that new law apparently!

if you go to a Tysons or Cargill plant its full of illegals and islanders.

these plants get away with not insuring illegal workers and not reporting serious injuries.

food producing factories and produce farms are full of illegals. this is why that Oklahoma Senator is so keen on giving EAD permits to border crossers.

Maybe just maybe on the commercial construction but definitely not the illegal storm chasing bean eaters.

Not the local home builder that subcontracts them for painting, roofing, framing etc.

Yeah, reducing the liability and legal requirements of businesses while holding government to a high standard of border enforcement is so prog of me.
