You're reaching to be insulted with this. He's not wrong, and in context I don't really see an issue there. The shooter's parents will almost assuredly carry guilt with them the rest of their lives, and they did lose a child.

Why does our society insist on infantilizing teenagers? A teenager is not a "child" in the same way that a 5 year old is a "child." We absolutely need to stop equating grown arse, sexually mature teenagers with kindergarteners.
