I just received this email from Lyft:

quote:

Did you know ... In the 2016 election, over 15 million people were registered but didn't vote due to transportation issues. We can do something about that.

#TheRidetoVote

Across the country on Election Day, Lyft is providing 50% off rides to the polls — and free rides to underserved communities that face significant obstacles to transportation. Register here.

My polling station happens to be at a bar.

I love it. Get the people to the polls. It’s the American way.

Such bullshite

They didn't vote because they didn't want to actually vote or had something better to do than vote for #Imwithher

Some GOP folks should call into Lyft and say they have 100 Republicans who need a ride and see how that turns out.

I find it rather strange that Lyft is offering this service since they tend to only operate in cities with some population density...which have polling locations within walking distance of their residence.

If they don't show up wouldn't that make Lyft gui!ty of illegal in-kind campaign contributions? Damn shame we haven't had an Atorney General in ten years.

More platitudes that will be hilarious for Lyft to clarify.

What places are designated as an "underserved community"?

Those poor Lyft drivers are going to have to make these calls on the fly.

"Yeah, you look pretty ghetto, so this one is on us"

Also, ironically, these "poor" people are so poor that they can afford a smart phone to order the lyft, but can't find a way to get to a local polling station.

NRA should offer to foot the bill for Lyft rides to and from trailer parks to polling stations on voting day.

It's the American way to bus people to the polls who are completely ignorant of anything going on with our government
