Why am I not surprised this comes out immediately after the Iran MOU debacle is confirmed?

This admin is becoming a fricking parody

What do you mean "coming out"? This was discussed often during the original tariff scuffles last year.

So…even less Americans pulling the wagon, and more riding in the wagon on the way to the voting booth?

What happened to a flat percentage income tax across the board? Or a national sales tax? Or anything other than lessening the number of voters paying and increasing those who don’t pay?

I’d make that compromise. The votes from my household should count 3x’s as much as households paying nothing.

Any changes to the tax code will require congressional approval. At this very moment, congress is hopelessly divided.

So, back on planet Earth, the elimination of any income tax is a frickin pipe dream so stop talking about it.

What does this have to do with your original comment or my response to it?

Because this admin has a well-documented history of sending people out , promising "free beer tomorrow" whenever something bad happens (like this MOU w/ Iran).

It's the "look squirrel!" approach to politics.

Does that mean 300k per household?

If that is individuals, that means about 90% pay no taxes. If it is households that is close to 75%.

Making it so the vast majority of people have no fed tax liability is kinda scarry in certain aspects. I get the corporations that people own stock in pay taxes and all of those indirect routes but having only a small number of people paying for stuff is weird. No skin in the game changes people's behavior and a lot of the time it is for the worse.

Again, this has been discussed for well over a year now. Sounds much more like this is a case of you just not being well informed or paying attention, so everything is new to you.

In fact, the interview in question is literally from 1 year ago you imbecile. It is from March 11, 2025

this will help a lot of mamas stay home and raise their own kids rather than have to make up the portion stolen from dad's check by uncle sam

also, I'll be glad to not have the first $150K taxed. Win for everybody.
