This should go hand in hand with the SNAP and other entitlement programs to take those who can work "looking for work" and get them employeed with all these businesses that are losing deported folks. WIN/WIN

I am against detaining lawful immigrants
I am STRONGLY against people who can't validate that they are legal immigrants
Until im shown differently, my understanding is ICE approaches locations and checks I'd status and paperwork/identification, etc
In the scenario you are presenting, why is it only certain people stay home out of fear? Why wouldn't every person be arrested.
Get documentation in order, wear it on a lanyard around your neck when ice approaches.
Here's what's happening, so all you know...yes. there are some legal workers here, but a majority of the time, they didn't keep up with requirements to stay up to date, etc

The trust you place in the government genuinely blows my mind. You act like nothing bad could ever happen to you. The government only betrays other people, never you personally… until it does. That’s how this always works.
And of course, it’s “whining” when I point out real concerns with how this administration is using its power. But people doomscrolling Xitter for outrage porn and spamming the board with tweets from random accounts no one has ever heard of purely to generate fear, outrage and resentment gets applauded for their intellectual rigor.
