Louisiana Sheriff's Association endorses Governor John Bel Edwards

Governor Edwards is the only Democrat being endorsed by the Sheriff's Association.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has picked up a law enforcement boost in his re-election run.
On Wednesday, the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association voted to endorse Edwards over Republican Congressman Ralph Abraham.
Edwards was the only democrat to receive an endorsement from the group.
Edwards was also endorsed by the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association in 2015 when he defeated former Senator David Vitter.
Edwards was also endorsed by the International Union of Police Associations, which represents more than 2,000 law enforcement officers across Louisiana.
Election day is set for October 12.

The Sheriff’s love that state DOC money. JBE allowed all of those early releases and continues the revolving door (everyone deserves a 12th chance) and when they re-offend on new felonies, the state pays the parish jails to house them until they are moved to a state facility.

His brother is a sheriff in a seat which his family has held for years. That gives him a HUGE boost with that group right there, doesn't mean Shiite to the public

LSA backs the incumbent, no surprise. They endorsed Jindal too in 2011 so we know the LSA makes mistakes, right?

No surprise there. His family is a bunch of sheriffs from Hammond and that area. Honestly I dont really like Abraham or Rispone but I hate Bel Edwards more.

Kind of hard to bite the hand that feeds you.
I saw Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre in JBE's new ad, and I am rethinking my vote for him. The other 2 candidates need to hit him hard on this. Especially since JBE hasn't done anything to help stabilize the oil industry in Louisiana. If anything, he has destabilized it with his push on coastal lawsuits.
One of the Governor candidates needs to hit him hard on the coastal lawsuits too.
As far as the other Republican turncoats, they too need to be sent a message. Republican's shouldn't support Democrats since Democrats don't support Republicans.
When was the last time that a Democrat publicly supported a Republican?
Rush was talking yesterday or the day before about a news article that was written about some issue and the journalist who wrote it talks about Republican controlled states and Democrat run states.
