Louisiana has the worst political leadership in the United States

For some reason, I forget just how bad the political leadership in Louisiana is and then something like yesterday happens with Landry and LSU football and I’m reminded anew just how bad it is (and will continue to be).
Whether you agree with his message or not, a press conference is not the forum. Moreover, his facts were largely wrong.
It’s just embarrassing and depressing. Louisiana has to overcome its own leaders to succeed.

OP pretending Democrats don't exist. What a tool.

You are correct…worst leadership in an otherwise Red state. I stand corrected.

Especially when the Governor doesn't understand how LSU's football coach is paid!! Pure idiocy.

Look at the voters and you'll have your answers. They aren't even smart enough to say frick it and vote for an independent just to send a message

The states of AL and GA are objectively better than LA based on all metrics related to government.
Crime? Check
Business growth? Check
Schools? Check
Growth? Check
Yall have the Mississippi River, access to the Gulf of America, O&G and tourism and you still struggle.
Why? Generational political corruption and incompetence.
Your state is run as a near hereditary monarchy where power is handed back and forth between a few families to protect their interests at the expense of everyone else so you keep getting what you’ve always gotten which is less than you should’ve based on resources.

Well the current governor is an idiot… look it how many lies he told unashamedly at the press conference… either he’s misinformed or uninformed…

I cant decide if we just don't have the choices available to pick from for a decent, intelligent, stable Governor, or if we just cant help ourselves and just cast a lazy vote for crazy, irrational, horrible business people who convince us that they are not that..... but we can pick some wing nuts.
This latest buffoon is probably the worst in my lifetime...Not only is he a power hungry egomaniac, but he is incredibly ignorant...Bad combination.
We need choices and we need to pick better.

Yes, Landry is the worst.
Signed,
CA, NY, IL, etc.

I wouldn't say worst. Do I think the governor should be involved in picking a head coach? No, especially not after he brought that fake tiger into the stadium.

There are people in New Mexico who would vehemently argue for the title of "Worst".
In a year or two New York City will be in the running, full time.

You lived through 8 years of JBE and you’re just now coming to this conclusion?

John Bel Edwards genuinely hates Louisiana and was one of the worst Governors with the handling of Covid.
Landry may be a jackass and I will not vote for him again, but we need to have some perspective on what we were coming from.

What message is that? Ensure a Democrat victory? Great plan.
