I don’t think he will win. That said does he have a shot? Absolutely.

His ads aren’t random. Trump is Very popular. And I think the “boom, there it is” is actually kinda clever and catchy.

Lastly, the has bought a LOT of air time. So much so that he is actually squeezing out the other candidates.

So don’t underestimate him.

He supports Trump. I will vote for him. I am 100% on Trump train.

That's great if he's running for a cabinet in DC, but really does nothing for Louisiana. Saying that will only get him 25% of the way.

I think you're getting your hopes way too high. The average voter doesn't know shite about politics and just knows JBE hasn't done anything to frick up Louisiana after Jindel. There won't be a runoff because he's going to get 52-55% of the vote.

There has not been one single poll that shows JBE getting 50.1% of the vote in the first round. Not a single one at all. What’s more is that he hasn’t gotten past 50 in approval rating polls in well over a year now.

JBE’s entire strategy of winning the first round took a pretty big hit this past week when Louisiana Democrats failed to clear the field for JBE during election qualifying.

Yep.

I’m not confident enough to say Rispone will make the runoff but it wouldn’t shock me at all if he does.

He has a arse load of money that’s going to be a bitch for Abraham to deal with.

The issue is that for all his campaigning he isnt speaking about Louisiana problems.

It says alot that people will vote for him without asking " what does he plan to do to help Louisiana". How does he plan to fix tge LA economy or other issue that we have as a state?

After Blanco, everyone thinks a Gov has to screw up to lose a second run. This is recency bias.

This election feels like Treen’s second run - with Comrade Honor Code playing the part of Dave Treen.

He had a remote chance until he opened his mouth and started appearing in TV commercials. It's pretty much over for him now.

Dude is Maga is seems, he mentions Trump support in damn near every ad.

My retarded cousin says he loves Trump every time I see him. It doesn't qualify him to be Governor.

I have yet to see Rispone mention a single policy point or plan or anything. No one even knows what he stands for.

Here’s how the LA governor’s election will play out:

The general election will see Edwards get around 48%-49% with Abraham getting around 29% and Rispone getting about 20%-21%.

Runoff between Edwards and Abraham will give us Governor Abraham after he beats JBE by 2 or 3 percentage points.

It’s going to be close but JBE won’t win re-election

I agree with the exception of the percentages. JBE will be closer to 40 than 49 in the primary.

Free ad idea for Rispone or Abraham-

Start the ad with you in front of a mega construction site in say Dallas, then a shot in front of construction in Oklahoma City, then a site in Florida, a few more. Then explain that you can travel anywhere in the country and watch the progress in this great economy... except for Louisiana.

Hey LAGOP, you know how you lost the last election?

I’m guessing you didn’t learn your lesson. Someone needs to get on the phone without Scalise with the quickness. He’s not the hero Louisiana deserves right now, but he’s the one it needs.

Rispone's ads come across as a bit annoying, but I have to say, I've seen them a few times- and I have had my TV packed away for some home repairs and remodeling for about a week .
Which means I have caught them casually somewhere, when I couldn't tell you when/where I was around a TV.

I've seen a few large signs, too.

I haven't seen any Abraham stuff, I forgot his name until reading this thread.
Finally got the room set up and watched the Saints game last night, caught JBE's wife commercial a couple times; and saw the "JBE raised taxes" ad too.

edit to add-
there are people talking about Rispone in Saints Talk forum, so I'd say the carpet bombing technique is working. You might think he sounds goofy, but JBE was the only known candidate for awhile- and that's changed.

Just saw that as well and commented there.

Like I said earlier, any publicity is good publicity and the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about like Abraham's current position right now.
