I typically vote no unless I see something obvious...but it seems like on the 10 amendments that are on the ballot, I will vote yes for quite a few. Thoughts
1,2,3-yes
4-no
5,6-yes
7-no
8,910 yes.
Want to make sure I am not getting confused by any of these. What's y'all's thoughts? Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Screw boomers and their property tax breaks. They shouldn’t get special treatment.
Why can’t this worthless state index the homestead exemption to inflation. It was set at $75,000 in 1974 and has not been adjusted since then

That $75,000 homestead exemption depends on where you live and who your assessor is. Lots of people living in $250,000 homes still paying zero taxes on them. Just Louisiana politics!

1. No
2. No
3. Yes
4. Yes
5. No (On the fence but lean No. I worry that this would encourage the State to take on bad debt now and justify it as "we'll just pay that off first".)
6. No
7. Yes
8. No (It's already a law and doesn't need to be in the constitution.)
9. No
10. No (Sounds good, won't work. This is just asking for fraud and abuse.)
The State needs a simplified tax code, and continuously carving out exemptions just further muddies that. I'm also against adding things to the constitution that are either already effectively a law and/or simply don't need to be added to LA's already overstuffed constitution.

I hope the state takes away homestead exemption and then I can buy up the ghetto at the sheriffs sale

i would think 5 is a yes, but i'm a fan of the debt avalanche method of paying off debt. i think giving them that flexibility to choose which debt to clear is a good thing.

I haven't read them. I just wait till Gary Chambers posts his endorsements and then just vote the opposite.

That's easier than having to think.

I'm against any millage increases, new taxes, or anything that will create more government.
And why do state employees still get a pension?
No companies offer pensions anymore b/c they are not economically feasible.

Don’t know if you realize, but that “NO” can essentially be a “YES”.
And smart lawmakers know this.

This is so true. Politicians are some sneaky mother frickers. And they use big words and confusing semantics to confuse the average voter.

So it’s a bunch of property tax exemptions…My problem is the more people you exempt the higher the rate you will force on the nom-exempt
