It's clear that some large percentage of Congress is compromised and are simply doing what they are told. Same with the supreme court.

We simply along for the ride.

I am not okay with it

where do we draw the line?

When you make them citizens you lose the power to draw lines. When you give them refugee status they inevitably become citizens. So draw the line at the borders.

After awhile, we need to look at ourselves as voters and ask why we keep re-electing these types of “Republicans” into office.

Most of these DC politicians likely consider us all a bunch of easily manipulated dimwits to begin with.

Don’t worry Bill, not voting doesn’t absolve you. Count your days

Not voting pisses me off more than voting the wrong way.

It’s a cowards way out to be able to say he didn’t vote against it.

It’s your job to be present and vote on legislation. Do your fricking job

This is wherein lies my only respect for the Democrats; those em effers stick together come Hell or high water.

You are woefully mistaken. We are four years removed from a three trillion dollar democrat bill being shot down by Sinema and Manchin, and there were about five others willing to vote against it if they were needed.

If you ventured out of your news bubble you would find that democrats say the same thing about republicans. “Why can’t democrats stick together like republicans do?”

I’m not saying they should be allowed to all stay and we should open the borders, but you just described 99.9 percent of immigrants.

Yeah, that's mostly not true. In recent decades, parties have pretty much supported their own.

I don’t understand why southern states can’t elect better republicans. Mississippi included.

Arkansas, Louisiana, MS, South Carolina all have shitty R senators

Florida and TN usually do ok. Kentucky has one good one and one shitty one as does Texas

It was leaked awhile back that the Bush/McCain wing of the GOP planned to throw the midterms big time by not passing anything MAGA so they could claim the midterm whipping was a rejection of Trump and maga and wrestle back control of the party.

When you look at what’s going on then this makes sense why they’re acting this way

For the most part they’d be correct. If this wasn’t true they’d have been voted out long ago.

The incumbent always has a bigger war chest for elections, the media destroys any true conservative primary challenger and the incumbent brings enough pork for the large industries of that state to get the votes he needs. It’s always “everyone else’s congressman who is the problem, not mine”

The OK duo was a bit surprising, is there a big meatpacking lobby out there or are they taking DC lobbyist money?

You know you can look the bill up for yourself, right? It is a page and a half long and plainly lays out the programs that would be banned from being used to pay the refugees. It is a simple, straightforward bill.

If this last year hasn’t convinced you there is a uniparty, then you lack the cognitive skills necessary to evaluate evidence. Unfortunately, we have an extremely unintelligent electorate.

What else was in the bill that they can use as an excuse for voting that way?

I was wondering the same thing, but then again, it was Paul's bill.

So it's possible that the answer is nothing.

Congress sucks, is corrupt and awful.

All except my guys. They bring back lots of money for the state.
