You know, I don’t always agree with you, but I think you are on to something. There will be a court challenge upon passage and a federal court will stop it until it is adjudicated through the Supreme Court, meaning it will have no effect on this year’s midterm elections. There’s going to be something in the bill that will be ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court making the entire bill null and void.
As of today, what little coverage is given to the SAVE Act is negative, Trump is federalizing elections by claiming without evidence that elections are rigged and fraudulent.
They are rigged and fraudulent. But there has been no effort by this administration and certainly not the Republican Congress to present any evidence showing what all of us know to be true, and to start prosecuting. Until then, they win, we lose.
Am I tired of winning? No. We haven’t won a GD thing. There are still 20 million more illegals here since 1/20/2021. No one has been held to account for clearly illegal activities of the Biden administration and the deep state, which are one and the same. We’re running out of daylight.
We are not fighting lawfare. We are fighting illegal activities which are not being prosecuted and people punished.

On a serious note, I've expressed this opinion a few times on this board. I'm not a constitutional scholar by any stretch however I do know that the states carry a lot of weight in elections:

"The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators."
The key for the SAVE Act is "Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations". It's almost a guarantee that the legislation will be challenged by a Democrat Party plaintiff. Then it's almost a certainty the regulation will be stayed while going through the judicial process.
If the legislation is well written it will probably survive SCOTUS and become law. But that will be after the midterms.
