Just changed doctors. New guy is black and was wearing a mask during my check up. I'm thinking, ok, he's a doc and in here he runs across all kinds of funk so he's just being precautious. He steps out to get my scripts renewed and sent to the pharmacy. I can hear them having confusion over the address of the correct location of the pharmacy. I open door to the exam room to help them clear this up. Nurses don't have masks on. He turns and looks at me from 20ft away at the computer quickly, as if he's been caught, slides his previously off mask, back on. I was completely at a loss as to what that was all about. I wasn't in there for any type of air borne virus, just a yearly physical.

I’ve noticed Asians wearing masks in the past(pre-COVID).
A cultural thing maybe? Perhaps it’s be cause of more people in close contact. I dunno…

It is baffling to say the least.
I asked someone I know last week who was wearing a mask if they were feeling okay and they said they are having fits with their allergies given all the nasty pollen everywhere. I can believe that. They aren’t freaky. They’re just battling pollen.

Black people Asians and White Liberals still wear masks. WTF?!?
Asians wore masks when sick long prior to Covid my dude

I can think of the occasional situation when I’d gladly wear a mask. Rule Day at Civil District Court, for example…

Let’s over analyze why in the foxtrot uniform charlie kilo do people still wear masks
No deep analysis necessary. We need only to accept two things as fact.
1). Humanity that has embraced the secular and rejected religion is weak, malleable and rudderless.
2). Operation Mockingbird is still going strong although "officially" ended.
Put those two things together and Occam's Razor does the rest.

Other than those who are up to no good, why does it bother you?
Because they're morons. Nothing people do around you that doesn't have any tangible effect on you bothers you? If you say no, you're a liar.

You're an absolute retard if you think wearing a porous cloth mask will prevent transmission of a respiratory virus.

Did it bother you, prior to covid, when Asians consistently wore masks?
AS far as your question, I try to live my life by that. If it doesn't affect me, then I try to ignore it. Of course, I fail, often, especially when it comes to attention whores.

Why does a grown arse man occupy their time of day with thoughts like this? Why do you care if they are wearing masks?

Fair question, but it’s kind of interesting why people notice it in the first place. Masks can mean a lot of different things depending on the person - health, habit, courtesy… sometimes signaling too (and not wearing one can signal things as well). It's hard to tell what’s going on for any one person, and pretty easy to read more into it than is actually there.

Luckily I don’t think that. You are a retard for moving the goalposts.
Here is the post to which I responded.

Except, masks have repeatedly, REPEATEDLY been shown to have no impact on transmission of respiratory viruses
Notice that you, the retard, changed “masks” to “porous cloth mask”. Also you changed “have no impact” to “prevent”. That’s two moves of the goalposts to finally get something you can attack.

Weird. You must have strictly adhered to the lockdown.
I never locked down. I wasn’t required to. I definitely had to wear a mask many many times. Not for long periods of time but always felt bad for those having to wear it all day.

The last time I wore a mask, an N95, was when I had an appointment with my hematologist, who’s also an oncologist, and I had the severe snots, and I was going to be sitting in a waiting room full of immunocompromised cancer patients. I think it’s silly to wear one to Walmart if you’re perfectly healthy, but I make no apologies for wearing one that day in those circumstances and would do it again. YMMV.

Why weren't all these "immunocompromised" people wearing cloth face diapers that do absolutely nothing to stop virus particles before March of 2020 then?

Sometimes people wearing a mask are doing it because they live with someone who is in a immune compromised condition often due to chemotherapy or other cancer treatment.
Thank you! Mama BFIV is a cancer patient undergoing chemo and SCT. She's very immune compromised right now.

It’s good to be aware of that. It could save you an awkward moment.
Absolutely this. All mask wearers are not flaming liberals, progressives, and Democrats.

Plenty of people going through chemo wore and continue to wear masks. Also organ transplant recipients, and anyone else on immunosuppressive treatments. It’s not uncommon and wasn’t before Covid. You just may not have noticed. But it was and is definitely a thing.
Still don’t understand why people get so worked up about it. I don’t wear one, but don’t gaf if somebody does.
People were just psychologically primed for noticing it after Covid.

Covid scared the shite out of fat black people.

Really? Even N95 masks and similar?
Think about this for a second. The Wuhan Lab was a BSL-3 safety level lab with all the protocols that go along with labs working with dangerous viruses. And yet, COVID still got out into the public. You think a mask, even the N95s (which I don’t see as much as a dirty-arse paper ones) is going to keep you from catching an airborne virus once it is circulating in public ?
