I am conservative but not religious.
I was raised strict Catholic in the old days when sin sent you to hell. That instruction served me well through life.
Today, I believe in the final words of Socrates upon being condemned to death:
'There is either life after death or there is not. If there is not then it's like a dreamless sleep and not to be feared.
If there is, then there may be a Heaven and a Hell. If there is Heaven I shall enjoy an eternity of discussing subject with the wise men of the past. If there is a Hell, then Marxists will go there.'

Freedom without morality is destructive. And morality without Christianity is relative and arbitrary.

We've seen the societal results of American liberty without Christian morality. It has blue hair, and it thinks a woman can have a penis, children as young as 5 can have sex-change operations, and porn is harmless. Freedom without morality is destructive. And morality without Christianity is relative and arbitrary. Social justice comes to mind
That's your interpretation of Christian morality. There are vast differences between different sects of Christianity, and even within among those sects' own populace. The Episcopal Church is okay with gay and lesbian people; the Catholic Church isn't (even though individuals in each group may feel differently). The Methodist Church is about to split over this. You may feel one group is less Christian, but they sure don't. Some folks would consider Westboro Baptist to be less Christian, but they sure don't.
Also, certain aspects of morality can be universal, even though they may be part of the Christian tradition. Considering murder or theft to be immoral is not confined only to Christianity.

Marxism/Maoism

Someone in this very thread just implied that without "knowing" Jesus there would be some bad end. That's just a threat, and I'm not fond of those...regardless of whether or not I believe in the mystical underpinnings of it. As the old saying goes, you get more flies with honey than vinegar.
Not to get into the philosophical woods, but millennia of thoughtful humans have imagined the idea of a 'spiritual' Universe; with Karma being an essential principle of such a Personal Paradigm.
If one has no qualms re bearing their Karma...then there is no "bad end". Only pure Justice; assuming that we do indeed exist in a Spiritual Universe. If we don't...nothing matters. Time is relative, one and done in the space of infinity. Now that...is a "bad end". At least if one loves life.

It's simply good vs evil, building vs destroying. The left are agents of Satan. Satan is all about destroying
It has nothing to do with god or religion or satan or magic. It's simply an inferiority complex. 99% of the white progs are unattractive outcasts that only get satisfaction in joining in with the other outcasts to try and make otherwise normal people as miserable as they are. Minorities on the left have been drilled with "you're a victim" and promises of gifts for so long that their entire way of life is the hope of being catered to. And I'm convinced most of the politicians at the top don't believe a damn thing they say and are the opposite of leftists. As soon as one of their leftist causes affects them personally they trip over themselves moving to the right. Same for the entertainment industry

You're describing, what, 10% of Dems?
Every liberal I know has a faith they practice, go about 75/25 (for) on abortion, and do not support the BS that's happening now in the country (BLM/Antifa).
If what you say or believe is true then why are the Marxist radicals faction of the Dim Party dictating policy, particularly the suppression of the 2nd amendment? 30-40 years ago I was a liberal that could give any starchy conservative a pretty good policy debate but the Dim Marxists today want to silence any and all dissent from conservatives.

You are a lot more likely to get pulled over for a traffic violation if you're in a minority area but that's all I got!
Is this even true? The overwhelming majority of speed traps and dui checkpoints I see are in white neighborhood. I have never once seen a speed trap or checkpoint in a black neighborhood, not one.

Same reason the Right is bending over for them - they're bullies, and they've figured out everybody is afraid of being called a racist, being doxxed, losing their job (or votes).
They are dictating Dem policy, true - but do you realize they're dictating Rep policy, too?

Exactly. But not just from conservatives, also from liberals that haven't lost their mind.
A small percentage of the American population (small percentage of the Dem party) is dominating politics, the national narrative, what happens in the streets, and increasingly what happens at work.

We conservatives are absolutely allowing the Marxists to have their day in the sun but on the other hand I’ve yet to hear one Dim Congressmen denounce in any meaningful way the BLM/Antifa madness that’s been ongoing since May.....

Why would they when conservatives are giving them cover?
The Right has been outmaneuvered for years and is now outflanked. It's our own fault. Nobody made us stay silent while the Left took over permanent government, Wall Street, the boardroom, certain industries, education, media, sports/entertainment, and about every politically active organization you can name other than the NRA - hell, even the military to a degree. Some of those were left-leaning twenty years ago like higher education - but they've gone off the rails lurching to the far left.
We literally have major US corporations funding a violent political group that seeks to "fill in the blank" from BLM's manifesto. It's lunacy, but also not an accident.

The fact that you felt a need to stick “patriots” in before conservatives.
The wedge is now attitude and idealism.
On both sides.

I generally identify conservatives as patriots because they want to preserve America, the Dim Marxists want to destroy America.

Politicians will ALWAYS BE THE WEDGE in everything. Imagine if black people and white people came together on a simple issue like Education. And we had a Education system that everyone had an opportunity at to REALLY learn.
Politicians will always be the Wedge in Everything.
Who screams free Education. Politicians
Who screams free healthcare. Politicians
Who screams free housing. Politicians
Who screams free food stamps. Politicians
Why, for VOTES

Meh, many Americans understand that both socialism and religion are nonsense.

Sorry to break your heart, but the Pledge existed in some form for 60+ years before "under God" was added in 1954 (during the height of McCarthyism).
Fun Fact: the Pledge of Allegiances was written by an avowed socialist. Look up the “Bellamy Salute” and see what you find.

And yet the non-religious commit dramatically fewer crimes per capita, both in America and globally, and no moral principle in Christianity is either original or unique to that faith.
